The kick panel under the steering wheel comes off quite easily with two screws - remove it an check with a fllashlight to identify the source and then take it to your dealer for a fix. I can't think of anything that should leak oil in that area.

Nothing I know of under dash has oil.....maybe water condensed from AC tubes indash?

I'm not sure what it can be. At first I thought maybe you had some kind of leak from your sunroof or it was AC condensation, but when you said it was oil-like you totally confused me. I hope you get it figured out. If not take it back to the dealer it should be covered by the warranty.

well thanks for all of your replies......they are priceless... ;)
my question - If it AC condensation - Is it suppose to be like that - leaking .....???
What is an AC condensation ??? Is it a bad thing ???Can't it be the steering wheel fluides ???
and most of all ---can I just let it go ???

I have had pritty bad condensation in my last two motor homes, but can not remember any from my 02 or 03 AV. It is possible.

The air conditioner blows air over heat exchanger -- which is basically a cold radiator inside and behind the dashboard. This cools down the air, and also causes any moisture/humidity in the air to condense into water droplets. It's just like the way the outside of a cold drink will sweat and drip on a warm, humid day.

These water droplets (condensation) are normal, and are supposed to drain through a tube out to the bottom of the truck. This is where the water drips and the puddle of water on the pavement under the truck comes from on a humid day.

While the condensation, and the water drips under the truck are normal, sometimes that drain tube becomes clogged. When this happens, the condensation overflows the drain and drips into the cab of the truck, which is not normal. If you do get a drip, it is normally clear water, but it can pick up dirt on the way. If the drain tube is clogged, usually the first symptom is a musty smell, due to the stagnant water collecting in the drain system/air ducts, but the real mess is when the water drips on the floor.

Since this is on AC condensation, is it normal for it to drip on the exhaust pipe at the rear of the engine-passenger side.
I just noticed this today. couldn't that cause problems down the road?

I found a thread on the muffler condesation, but my drip is in the rear of the engine from the AC to the top of the exhaust pipe itself.

but, I did learn today.

Update: I found the thread: A/C condensation falling on exhaust

In my old Jeep Cherokee I had a leak in the brake master cylinder. It ran down my brake pedal and dripped onto the floormat. I haven't look at mt AV brake pedal, but could this be it?
