i don't need a roof rack to carry my new 12 ft pirouge, as long as it don't rain.

picked up my new hand made cypress pirogue, (that's pee-row for those north, east and west of here) popped out the back glass, fit like a dream.

next time i might even try it under the covers with the tailgate up, front end resting on the dash, but this looked and got more head turns, and really that's what the av is all about.

I had to go look up what a pirogue is. This type of post just cries out for a picture or two, no? :0:

Loading a 12ft one of these would be a something to post about! Being rear ended by one, well...

Whoops. That's a pierogi, isn't it?

Oh..we also use this for parties. Fill them up with ice and drinks (bottled and canned beer!!). Makes for a nice cooler for those Crawfish boils and BBQ's!

here's the pics, sorry i got called away before i could post.

and bug you are not north, east or south of me, so i will forgive the corrected pronunciation/enunciation.

but being smack dab between Marksville and Ville Platte in Bunkie on the banks of the Bayou Bouef in Avoyelles Parish and a grafted coonass via marriage to a Church Pointe Cormier (Core-Me-Aye) I can tell you there is no -rog in our -rows. ;D
BTW it was built from matched lumber marked at the little oneman mill here. Hand crafted by PEE-ROW craftsman Denis DeCuir (da-queer).

LOL...i know the rog/row. LOL...i'm talking about the "New Orleans" people...lol.

My gf is full Cajun also from Bayou Bouef via Kraemer, LA. I am trying to get her to teach me Cajun French. She bought me a book written by an old Cajun Priest actually. I forget his name. But it's hardback and rather thick. Has all the "everyday" phrases and words.

So when we hookin' up for a meet?!!!

sundays are a bit busy though.

We're in the middle of the state, come meet me in Marksville:
Casino, RV resort, First rate Golf resort, Spring Bayou for fishing.
plenty to do.

We'll have to schedule a gtg in that area. maybe you give us some suggestions on meeting place and things to do...

The N.O. area is starting to pickup...I am hoping this summer will be a good turnout!
