OK, I went ahead and installed the HID kits I bought through the second Group buy from TNAV on the Tennessee Avalanches site.  As EQ stated, the use of the harness was needed. The overall install was pretty easy (I'm clueless with electrical stuff too).

The only change I did was replaced the small eyelet for the peower wire with a larger one to fit over the post within the red power box on the side of the engine block. Other than that, it was pretty easy.

Also, for those that bought the 880 fogs, be sure to remove BOTH of the plastic washers. I tried to install the bulb into the housing with them on and was not able to lock the bulb into place. I first removed the one closest to the bulb and it worked fine. After removing BOTH on the passanger side, it had a much better "finished look" to it without the second washer. There is a rubber gasket at the base of the bulb to deter moisture into the housing as well as a rubber boot on the connector side. You'll need to fit the rubber boot through the washer to remove it. AS ALWAYS, BE SURE NOT TO TOUCH THE BULB while removing the washers.

Anyway, here are the pics...

Here's the kit itself (880 fogs and 9006 lows)

The only thing I would have done different was solder the wire to the eyelet. Those crimp ones will corode in no time under the hood  :D

As for running the wires and connections, I just did what I was comfortable with and where I thought was out of the way enough to not cause any problems.
The lows ballast is just behind the driver side housing and I ran the wires DOWN from there. I came across the nose, under the radiator, to the passanger side. The ballast for the passanger side is just below the passanger side light housing.

As for the fogs, the ballast is tucked up above the front end brackets and frame (driver side) and as with the wires for the lows, I ran the passanger side connector in the same location, below the radiator. The passanger side ballast for the fogs lights is right next to the ballast for the lows on the passanger side. Once I knew everything worked as it should, I tightened up the wires and tucked them all nice and neat with the existing wire looms for other electrical components from the factory.

I can still do that, and I just might. I just wanted to get it all installed and working.

I shoudnt talk...my fog HIDs are still just twisted and black taped. I have to solder and shrink wrap before winter  :D

Now...... come on 8:30 pm.... when it's dark out and I can really test these babies out

I remember when I did mine..Could not wait till it got dark. The fogs really fill in the area in front of the AV nice  :D

I love it when friends follow behind me.  They tell me that they could literally turn their lights off and see just fine by my HID's.  Only issue I have is that when I run my lows and fogs, I get flashed alot......sucks to be them.

Looks great, I just bought a pair of SS Ultra for 50 bucks and I'm thinking about taking them back and doing HID instead.  Found some HID's for 150 - 200 dollar range.

What color temp did you go with? With the group buy, how much did you spend?

Thank you for the install info and pictures. Nice job.

I went with 6000k for both lows and fogs.

I paid in that same range (I forget exactly now as it was a few months ago and the price dropped after and I got a refund).

You people are killing me..Now I want HID highs  :E:
