Have an opportunity to score a supposed 250 amp alternator.

What are the benefits?

Are you planning any mods that require much more available power, such as a high end stereo system and the like?

If remaining stock, then little to no benefit.

Unless the 250A is free.

In that case, why not.

Remember, you will most likely need a different, longer main accessory belt for an easier fit.

Depends on what alt you are replacing. If you have a 145amp on your Av you should be fine as long as the alt you’re getting is in an AD244 case.

My PowerMaster 220amp alt bolted right up, as it’s in a AD244 case.

IMHO no benefit unless you have tremendous electrical load when driving.

I.e. Add a bunch of electrical stuff like LOUD radio system, old school Halogen offroad lights, more lights that are not LED (led does not use but about 1/10 watts as old school normal bulbs)

I've added a few power points and a loud stereo. I probably need one.
