Maybe ahhyeah can answer your questions.

I will be adding a Daytona hood bump to my Av. will take pics for turning it from a bolt on to a tape and fake.
Comming soon............................. >:D

I Was out cruisin around in the Av last night and passed a chevy dealer that had scops on a tahoe that was all done up. It looked good we need to find scoops for the av would look really cool

Thank you sooooooooo very much. I love my AV and it is the best looking one in South Jersey so far because of all the mods I have. >:D Still not done yet. :0: I have to think about what to put on next. :B:

Nice picts guys (y)

I do believe scoops will be on the mod budget for next month. ;D

Now the hard part... I always hate deciding this at the ice cream place, one or two scoops...

Think GTO.....2 scoops! Since it seems we have twin AV's, be better start coordinating our upgrades!
;D

As soon as a decent hood scoop comes out for the Av, I intend to get one. Now, I am also about to get either the UPD or the K&N FIPK-I was leaning towards the UPD, but with real air coming thru the scoop, wouldn't an open system like the K&N be much better? Also-how about a hood scoop Group Purchase????

Steve, we are in the process of setting up a permanent club discount with Sportwing USA. ?They will be offering spoilers & hood scoops primed or painted for our Av's. ? Everything should be set-up in our partner page within a week or so.

Well, I have no experience with the K&N kit.
I went with the UPD w/ the K&N filter, and am very happy with it. ;D
It looks, sounds, and performs great.
IMHO - the UPD is a better unit, especially considering the price difference between the two units. I believe the K&N is around $75 more :cautious:

I would tend to agree, BUT, since the K&N is an open filter set-up, wouldn't it benefit from cold air being forced thru the hood scoop(s), whereas the UPD is a closed system, and the air would not reach the filter.

That sounds right to me. The K&N might be the way to go then if you're going with real functional scoops in the hood. Are you hoping they will make a hood with inlets, are you planning on cutting yours up?

We will be getting some photos from Sportwing soon on the hood scoops.

I am hoping to be showing off my clear/euro tail lights by this holiday season. This more work required than making AV spoilers. I will keep you all updated.

The scoops I can handle....But I'm going to need a financial backer for the lift, rims, and tires

Are you with me?...brother? ;)

ZimmsAv,

I intend to have my hood drilled under the scoop(s). I would not put just a "decorative" scoop on the truck. I don't see the need to get a new hood with inlets. I assume that I can have a body shop drill me some.

If you don't mind having fake scoops, Lund has a few different choices. You can click on one of my pics below and see how they turned out.

What truck is it on? It's on my truck man....LOL

I wish it came further down the hood, but I love it.

The piece came from a 1980's Dodge charger 2.2 Daytona LOL The car was half the size of an El-Camino and had a truck bed. So parts wise I found it to be strange enough to be acceptable.
Here is the side view,
