Hotlanta - Panoramic photo by A.J.

Brain is bringing a ladder with him! He has the software and camera!! On his site look for the settle picture that was 32 shots!! We just need organization in lining people up!

Look at his website!!

YES... I will do the PANO... I enjoy it, though it is a pain to get it JUST RIGHT... (the perfectionist in me..)

For anyone who didn't know... the PigeonForge pano was taken by me, in the rain, no umbrella, no tripod...

Turned out better than I hoped. My professional type stuff is shown in WVU's last post...

This is one of my best - 32 shots wide, 5 second exposures for each, at 12:30AM, 1 mile across the water. Completed file is over 350Megabytes!!!

See you all there...

Since AJ isn't going to be able to make it :(

Since AJ isn't coming :( What do you guys think about EVERYONE bringing their digital cameras, taking group pics from for about 30 mins...someone compiling all pics onto a CD and if ya want a CD burnt, pay a couple bucks for the persons time and the burnt CD??

Then we can upload the best 10-20 onto here?? Just a thought?

ANYONE?? ANYONE??

I just wanted to throw this out there to see if there was any interest in lining up for A.J.'s famous panoramic group photo like at PF, and STI.
Those photos are still available thru A.J.
Cost will probably be similar to the STI photos, but A.J will have to speak on this. I think that they were $35, but don't hold me to that.

Please post if you are interested in purchasing one from A.J.

Sherr.....would you be interested in seeing (y) Rob's STI-DVD?

AJ isnt but Brian IS... ;D Not sure if we can line up for the pano, but we should be able to plenty of shots in the parking lots.. Also Sherr when you get a chance post a few pics of the lot, to see if they will work. We also need to figure out how to line everyone up for the pictures.. Luckily is only about 5 minutes fro hte hotel, so we can scout a litte more out on Friday..

We may have to leave earlier than first thought if we want a good shot, with a small number of other cars in pic..

well we need to get a pano type shot at stone mountain.

hmmm.... I dont mind leaving early....you might wanna see how the others feel ;)

We will be leaving by 830am as it stands, so maybe we should bump that to 8am ??? Or do you think we need to leave at 730am ???

I'ts been a while since I've watcjed my own DVD.
I'll have to watch it a few times this week to get psyched up (like I really need to be, right). ;)
I'l really anxious to pick up the t-shirts this week.
That always gets me itchin' to leave.

Rob

Good Idea, but not sure if Brian was palnning on making the Stone Mountain cruise. I truely think that in between Hooters and the Chevy dealership is best for the large picture! This should be where we have the most people. The other thing is there is not a good place at Stone Mountain to do this line-up.

Just my .2 Cents

Since I live here, well I am really the person that lives closest to the "real" ATL, the parking lot next to the dealership is PRIMO.

Squatch is right, the Hooters parking lot is tiny... and there isn't anywhere for us to park for a photo op @ stone mountian.

I will try to post pics of lot next to dealer either later tonight, or early in morning.. Should be a great spot if we can figure out how to get in the air a little.. The lot is huge but level, I am not sure how to get a good group picture.. But then again I havent done one of these before and you all have.. I hope the pics that were taken will give you a indication of what there is to work with..
I have a little more non computer work to do this evening.. We may not be able to do a pano, but a group shot of the mountain, would still be cool for promos of future events YES...

Zuk I guess 8 -830 is fine is only a few minutes away..

well I'll be takin some pics at stone mt. if we can get us all parked together with the mountain in the background it will be a nice pic ;)

if it turns out we can't "park" for the pic, I'm sure we can manuver our way into a great shot ;) :D even if we have to "block" some traffic for a few mins (y)

A shot of the potential canvas for the pictures

That parking lot it great, but the islands might cause a problem.
When we lined up 46 AVs at ECR our line was probably 2-300 yards long. This place might work with some creative parking/photography.

An ideal location would be an abandoned KMart parting lot or something without islands.

Is that building open during the weekends. If so, it could serve as a great place to take an aerial photo of the group.

Rob

There were a few cars there, also I should be able to post a few more pics of the lot, the roof of the dealer may work as well.. Less islands on the back side of the lot.. Its very close to the hotel, so we should be able to set it up quite nicely..

Mike

A shot of the back part, The roof is the dealer. There are about 14 spots across the back before you get to the island, ans are several rows deep, I my inexperienced opinion probably the best of the parking lot

Great work Huggie......as in all past GTG's, a group picture always reflects who, what, when, where and why we as AV owners choose to attend GTG's with our AV friends. When I view a posted GTG group picture, no matter the size or even a rarely taken Panoramic group picture, I see reflections and images of those proud :B: AV owners.
