How about some no-slip surfaces?

My 04 Avalanche has some no-slip rubber in the overhead consol so my garage door opener does not slide around. It also has cubby hole in the dash with no-slip rubber that is perfect for a cell phone. But the fold down armrest/storage box has a hard plastic coating that things slide all over. I think it would be great if they were to put the same no-slip rubber on the top of the arm rest and even on the dash so things do not slide around so easily.

Or I could take my wife's advice and drive very slowly.

Not exactly sure what you mean. But, I have an 03' w/ center console storage box. It is the same box for 04's. The lid of my center console has a square depression on the top of the lid, and within that depression there is a removable rubber pad with traction bumps on the pad. If you do not have this pad, then you are missing a piece and should contact dealer.

he means the truck with a bench seat

You could always get some nice drawer non-slip material and cut it to size and glue it in

I know people on this site have done nice things with that stuff - try to find a nice pattern

Good luck

Thank you and yes I have the bench seat and the consol does have a retangular depression in the center. The hard plastic surface does have small raised bumps but with it being hard plastic, anything you set there will slide around like an ice skating ring even if you drive carefully. I assume they could have put the same no-slide rubber on it for a few pennies at the factory. With all the nice features in the AV I thought this would be a nice lvery low cost touch.

What about the liquid grip stuff you can dip the handle on tools into for more grip?

You might be able to 'paint' it on thinly...

You mean all those non-slip surfaces that the dam dust clings to!!?? I'd gladly do without ALL of mine. :7:
