Been dealing with the ongoing "Right Rear Door Ajar" message/signal, even though the door is shut just fine. I've sprayed WD40 into the moving latches and mechanism on the outside. I am not going to pay $200 for a new door ajar sensor switch.

I have the door panel off and unplugged the two plugs that go into the door switch. Now...what is the correct way to trick the sensor into thinking the door is shut? I've tried jumping the two wires that go into each connector together but I still have the "Right Rear Door Ajar" message.

Ideas anyone?

are you sure you have the correct plug? If im seeing this right, you should have a door jamb switch. jsut jumper the blue/black and black wires together.

Yes I've actually tried jumping both plugs' wires together and it's still not going off.
Obviously this isn't the same plug(s) but this is what I'm doing. Each of the two plugs I took off the switch have only two wires. I jumped each set on each plug together. I tried doing only one plug and leaving the other AS-IS. No change. I tried both of them jumped. No changed.

Anyone else with an idea on how to get rid of the Door Ajar warning in my dash without buying a $200 door switch?

I been trying to hint about this you can't disable it, the mini wedge switch is a sensor. If the BCM does not see it on the data bus it will throw a alarm. It's a safety feature that why GM made it that way.  Check the wiring

This same problem started on my '03 about 4 years ago. Alarm went off randomly and "right rear door ajar" came up regardless of the door being shut. I investigated and found no problem with the switch. Then had my mechanic ring out the wiring all the way to the BCM. He said nothing wrong with wiring and it had to be internal logic fault in BCM. The dealer would need to program a replacement and be about $700. Now you cannot get the BCM PN I have and alternates are not 100% compatible. I pulled my horn fuse and keep my interior light switch off. I Still get the ajar message, but it does not wake me up!
Oh yes I also cut the wire from the door going into the BCM - no help!!
