I have a question to pose... I have an S8L7 (2003, before they turned chrome). I have it in an appx .8 cu. ft. sealed box. I thought it would hit pretty hard, and it is decent, but it is still severly lacking for my tastes. I guess I might step up to a 12 but first I wanted to try to port the box. However, on Kicker's site they give dimensions for rectangular ports in very elongated boxes. Is there a simple way to just get a hole saw, drill a hole, and drop in a round port or two? How would you determine the length and diameter of the round port? Does it simply have to be the same volume as the rectangular ports listed on the website? The biggest hurdle is the length of the port. They show appx. 20 inches for length. Is there a way around this? My box is not nearly that long. It is about a foot cube, externally. It sits on the floor in the back directly between the center seats. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. Thanks for the help!
