Hello Everyone,
I ordered my AV on Nov 25th and wondering if I'll be getting my new beauti before the New Year. Is there anyone who has recently taken possesion of their new truck.

Thanks Big Lou

Big Lou

Welcome to the club! And congrats on your order for your new AV...

I ordered mine on Mar 24th and it arrived on June 3rd.

I would say your looking at first to second week in January... sorry! But I remember looking at the guys a year ago, and they were getting them in under 5 weeks. Perhaps this time of year maybe in your favour. Anyway, it'll be worth the wait...
Have you seen the Dragon! It's in your neck of the woods, if it hasn't gone in for the winter yet!

Ordered mine on Nov 13th. Dealer called a week later with a build date of Monday, Nov 24th. Vehicle was delivered last Wednesday Dec 10th.

Soooooo delivery was two weeks and two days from the build date not withstanding the snow storm in New England the weekend prior.

I'm a little confused-

We ordered on 11/5/03
build date of 11/24/03 also
we don't have ours yet and
we were told between 12/15/03
and 12/20/03

Aren't all Av's built in the
Silao, Mexico Plant?

If so, how did the train get to Cape Cod before Northern California and NO SNOW STORM???

Actually I'll try to answer my own post.

After I read the post about you getting your Av on 12/10/03 I tried to web research all Chevy Assembly Plant information.

While I could not confirn the Silao, Mexico Plant as the
ONLY Av plant, the average per vehicle build time is
45.74 hours (I assume this is for all vehicles, regardless of model built) for the Silao Plant.

Sooooo, maybe yours started early on 11/24/03 and made a train almost at capacity...

-or-

maybe mine started late in the day and sat on the train waiting to be filled to capacity.

I'm just jealous!!! :D

I CHNGE,

Nice detective work.....

Actually, we pay extra for living at the beach on Cape Cod, in addition to putting up with this less than desirable weather here in New England, i.e., snow, snow and more snow. These facts alone may have afforded us special privlidges !

......but I don't think so.

Big CAv,

We also pay extra for living in California (in general) and the Bay Area (specifically). From the former Gov. doubling Registration fees (recently reversed) to much higher than the national average gasoline prices to electrical power supply shortages to housing prices and availability that rival yours for differant reasons etc etc etc.

As a younger man also having lived on the beaches of cape cod during the summer months and digging for clams for my "fav", the clam and seafood bake on the beach; I'm sure you were extended the courtesy of an early delivery whist I suffer with the indignant penalties and pleasures of life in California (ha-ha)

I'm still jealous!! :)

Oh my, I've got it figured out now!

;)California Avs take 12.462879 hours longer to build because of the extra Caifornia Air Resources Board Equipment Requirements. ;)

ROFLMAO ;D ;D ;D

Sorry to say this but

I ordered mine January 5
build January 14
Delivered January 29
I picked it up January 31

Now my Tahoe thats another story
Order Date November 4
Delivery Date April 23 - the next year.
Now that was a wait. Almost 6 months.

5-6 weeks for an AV no problem.
Start getting the mods in order you want to put them on.

Have Fun and Welcome to the club.

So what your saying is that I ordered mine at the wrong time!!! :C:
Well, that behind me now, as I have the AV for 6 months now! and love it! Its snowing outside now  , can't wait to get out there and have some more fun!!! >:D But have to wait until I finish work this afternoon! :7:
