I have succume to rebates and discounts and gave up on waiting for the 2003s. Today at 6:00 p.m. EST I became an Avalanche owner. It is beautiful!!! Forest Green Z71 with tan sports leather interior, sunroof and roof rack. I got it Cartersville, GA just north of Atlanta. Its beautiful!! I've got to get a CAFCNA sticker for one side of the rear window and a BSA sticker for the other side and maybe a JSF tag for the front and I'll be set. Did I mention that it is beautiful. Pictures will be forth coming.

And it should be easy to fall asleep....in the Av. >:D
When I first got mine i had to take if for a midnight cruise, boy was I pumped.
Then the next day i bet i took over 200 pictures from every angle imaginable.
Congrats on the purchase Headbandman, you wont regret it, now drive at differing speeds all nite to get over the breakin ;D

You, not the engine :D
gratz MAN on your new truck I mean SUV . No I mean truck.. NO NO I mean SUV.. okay you are like the rest of use.. You too have it all....

I have had mine for over a year now and I still go outside at night and walk around it to make sure it is put to bed and that all is good with her. I even pat the truck on the "TAIL" lights and say good night......

You too will have fun with this great truck.......
Hey, I got mine this evening, too.

Thanks to everyone who posts on these boards for helping with the research I needed to pick the right one.

Incentives are awesome at this time of year . . .
Oops! So excited about mine, I forgot to congratulate you. So, congratulations on your purchase headbandman.

As soon as I drove in the driveway, a neighbor came over and admired it with me--they never did that for my Malibu . . .
HeadBandMan, RLC . . Congrats on your purchases! Welcome to the neighborhood! You got a truck that can't be beat! Had mine since December, and I love it more every day - used it today to haul 1200 lbs of tile home for a remodel project - out of the weather and out of view - find another vehicle that will do that so easily!

Again . . congrats!

P.S. - - - with 1200 lbs in the back the Av is nice and level - it's butt in the air stance (a minor complaint registered on this board) is completely GONE!
Congratulations to you both,,you won't be disappointed I have had my AV since Sept 01, and love it. Now the mods,mods,mods.. :B:
U made a good choice :D.........both of u..as the proud owner myself (5days)...I too could not resist the incentives for the 2002 and I couldnt wait any longer.............Happy trails. Maybe now u both can join the wild west tour ;D
Congratulations. I've found that it doesn't matter if they love it or hate it; everyone looks at it.

Isn't that what matters?

Congrats Guys!! :D

I think you WILL find it hard to sleep tonight. I know we drove our everywhere the first few hours. Went to all our friends houses and showed it off. Then just drove around town... with big cheesy smiles..
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Congrats dude! Welcome to the club. A representative is on his way over to show you the secret handshake. :)
Congratulations HeadBandMan and RLC on your most wise decision. I know it must have been difficult to pass on the '03. Anyway I am sure you won't be disappointed.
Congratz on the new Avalanche...I got mine 4 days ago...I, also, could not pass on the rebates, cash off and financing (equal to GM's) from my credit union...Enjoy!!! ;D (y) :B:
Hey Guys - Congrats to the both of you on on the new Av. Hard to believe I've already had mine 9 months.
Welcome to the family, I've had mine for two weeks now and still get that big cheesy smile when I climb in. ;D
Cherish this time. They grow up so fast! It's hard to believe so much time has gone by, so many miles have gone by...
