Yesterday was a great day for Chevy advertisement. First my wife took my kids in the truck to the local Friendly's restaurant. When she parked up by the building, people were looking and staring. Later, two waitresses commented on how nice of a truck the Av was.

Later, I took the truck through the Taco Bell drive through window. When I pulled up, there was a big commotion going on inside. Finally the girl at the window said "I really like your truck, sir". And then as I was leaving she said "good luck with your truck sir". All the while I could hear others inside saying "is that the Avalanche that does.....". I was flattered by the girl, except for the "sir" reference. Am I that old!? ;)

Lastly I took the truck to the gas station for a fillup. A guy pulls up behind me in a Bronco, gets out and starts talking about my Av. He commented on how cool it looks and started asking a million questions. I must have spent 10 minutes telling him about the Av.

Man - what a day for Chevy advertisement! Can I get a commission somehow? ;D

I know what you mean...I was at Mugsy's in Toms River this past weekend...and 2 guys driving a F-350 couldn't stop pointing and looking.....makes you feel good that people appreciate such a fine looking truck.... ;D

Boy Howdy,

I feel the same way. My dealer is thinking making me an honory sales person because I have refered 5 guys to them and all 5 have purchased and Av.

Of course I still have the only North Face in the area. I like that.

I was at the Giants game two day ago having a tailgate BBQ and my wife and I had several inquires, and she got to change it 6 times to show easy it is. I think she has more fun changing it. She also wanted to put a can out, Change for a buck and see what happens.

Hey Avalance, I could get used to living in LaGrande and having an Av! Sounds like a great combination!

Gosh, been there, done that. I cannot begin to relate how many times since I bought my Ava, that I have changed it, explained it, shown it, recommended it, and praised it. Even had people call out their windows in traffic to talk about how I liked my Ava. :0:Always figured I should get paid for being a driving advertisement, but then aren't all Ava. drivers? :D

:love:Saw it first at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego several years ago when it was on tour prior to release. Took one look at it and said "I'm gonna own that when it comes out" and bought it Sept. 10th, 2001 and have 28,000 miles on it. When I walked out of the dealership with my keys to the Ava. my daughter handed me a dollar and said, "Change for a dollar?" Too cute!!

Drives like a dream, have the Summit White 1500 base model to which I have added nurf bars and protection package. When I looked on the Ava site found that almost 90% of "options" for this year were standard on all Ava's so all i am basically missing is the OnStar, 4x4, & leather seats (which are gonna be added in a month to mine).Anything else is pretty much a true option such as racks and such if not the North Face Edition. I am very, very happy with mine and I hope that y 'all are too.

Yesterday driving on the highway, I noticed two guys in a Ford pickup, and the driver was making hand motions describing to the other guy how the midgate folded down. Pretty cool...

Good point!! You had me cracking up on this one!

Maybe he was motioning about the mud that was flying at him from my undercarriage.

The only way we will see any of Chevy's money is if they "update" the commercial to:

"CHANGE FOR A TWENTY" ;D ;D ;D
