Just want to say this thing has great brakes and share my short story.

Coming home last night from our church, was by myself with both kids in the back seats. Was coming up on an intersection, light was green. Something happened with one of the kids, looked back for a second, looked back at the light.......Oh No.....it is now Red, cars in the intersection and I am going about 50 MPH in a rain storm. Stood on the brakes, and to my surprise, the AV stopped on a dime. Couldn't believe it. Didn't slide at all. Was completly prepared to go out into the intersection, and nothng happened. It stopped so smooth, didn't even seem like it was a fast stop. I know for a fact that if I had been in my 95 Cherokee, I would have slid right through the intersection.

I LOVE THIS TRUCK! ;D

I agree, awesome brakes, for a heavy beast. I was headed to WI and a few deer poped out on a back road. Not to mention it was raining. I had the factory rims with Wild Country TXR (studded) and it stopped before i relized what was going on. I also had a guy step in my blind spot once and I about smashed him. Then he woulda been the first true victim of an AV. Anyways, I always have more brakes than I need.

Haven't had to test brakes yet (trying to make gentle stops (557 miles on clock), but happy to hear that they're there if needed.

The brakes are great, 4 wheel disc with ABS. This system works alot better than the 1994 Ford Ranger I had with ABS and it did not stop like the AV does.
