I'll be making a quick trip to the Ft. Campbell KY area Weds & Thurs to visit my daughter & her family.  Anyone know of a good place to take them to eat there?  I'd like to treat them to a nice dinner but they haven't been there long & I've never been there so? 
Anyone?

Go ahead KY_BOB-cut up!!  It's all fun!  I really appreciate your help.  We'd probably want to do a family style restaurant (they have a 1 year old!), preferably with some good steaks...Although I can be in the mood for anything!! :laugh:  With the AV, going anywhere in about 30 mile radius is good...it can carry all of us!!

I'm taking Hwy 60 to 24, then straight to Oak Grove.  By the map that looks the fastest route-about 3 1/2 hrs.  Or less...depends on the music thumping ahh, playing... >:D

IMO the best steak house is "Charlie's".  It's not cheap but their steaks are to die for.  It's on the main drag (hwy 41) through Oak Grove.  Just look for the big sign that looks like a charlais (s?) cow.  It's a place that you can take a family, not overly dressy or uptight.

I'm guessing that your daughter or some of her crew is in the military?  If so, they should be familiar with a place on base called "The Sportsman's Lodge".  They have kick a$$ schnitzel, if you like schnitzel, and it's very reasonably priced.

If you want to drive as far as Hopkinsville, about 15 miles, there's a place there called the Horse shoe.  It has good steaks (not as good as Charlie's) but the best hamburgers that I have ever tasted.

I wish you were going to be here when I didn't have to work, I would drive down just to say hi.  It's only 35-40 miles from my house.

I've heard about that "blue bottle"!  :eek:  No chance AT ALL of my racing you!  My poor stock AV would be covered in the dust you'd leave me in... :laugh:

Thanks for the restaurant info Bob-Sounds like Charlies is a plan.  I LOVE a good steak.  Although schnitzel is a pretty good runner up.  I'll let the kids make the choice.  My son-in-law is in the 101st Airborne and my daughter just got out of the Army.  She's been stationed in Alaska and there was no sign of them getting posted together anytime soon, so she quit.  I'm just glad they're close to home. 

It would have been nice to meet you-I'll be coming up regularly, mostly on weekends so I'll give a shout!

I've seen the pics-someday maybe I'll get to play with the  toys like that too...  From what I've read-yours is no slouch either.  I can't wait to save up to have more power added.  I'm a hot rodder from waaaaay back!

No prob, just let me know. ?Other than 8-5 Mon-Fri I'm usually avaliable. ?I'll run it with the headers open and spray it with methanol. ?Nitrous is a little pricey to run out on the street but I think you'll still be surprised how well a AV can run.


BTW, Mine bumps a little too. ?I have 2 12" Infinity Kappa's driven by a 1000x1 Memphis amp.
