I would like to install a front license plate on my AV. Do I just drill pilot holes where the dimples are and then screw it on? Is there nuts already behind the front bumper? Any tips would be helpfull. Thanks.

The dealer told me that you can punch a screw through the indentations without drilling. I can't verify this for sure but that's what he said.

I drilled a small pilot hole and then self-tapped a screw. The screws only go into the plastic - don't overtighten!

Mine already had those little plastic threaded inserts mounted in the cladding.

In Texas you are required by state law to have both a front and rear license plate. I'm pretty certain the dealers install the screws here as they are already on all of the vehicles at the dealer lots.
It used to be a $50 fine for not having a front plate. I'm not sure what it is now, it's been a long time since the nice Texas Highway patrolman pointed it out to me in written form. ;)

Mine was like ygmn's...I live in PA (no front plate) but bought it in OH (front plate required). The dealer has to have what you need.

I bought in PA where you don't need front plate, but live in NJ, where you do need one. The dealer had two screws in the front bumper cladding. I didn't notice any clips that they screwed into, only the plastic cladding.

I'm also in a state (NH) requiring front plates, and mine also came with 2 screws directly into the bumper cladding. It has worked fine for me.
