OK, dumb question, but can't find answer in a search here or interwebz.  I'm in the middle of doing an oil change for the first (and LAST  ) time myself.  FINALLY switching to full synthetic so just wanted to do this one myself.  Anyway, is there no gasket/washer around the oil drain plug?  There wasn't one but just seems like there should be.  ???

I don't believe mine has one.

No not on mine either.

Nevermind, upon closer inspection I see there is one integrated to the OEM plug.  Since both are black and the rubber ring is recessed, didn't notice at first.  "On the road again....."

I've replaced the drain plug on the last three vehicles I have had with a Fumoto drain plug.
Several different styles to suit you needs. Attach a short plastic hose on it and open it up.
Makes the oil changes much less messy and it's nice not having to remove the plug each time.

This is the one I chose for my 2013
