Hi everyone, I can't tell everyone thanks enough for all the great information on this site. I have been hooked ever since I found it by accident looking for info on the web regarding the Avalanche.

Well I ordered my 2003 Avalanche on August 24. The dealer told me 8 - 10 weeks. I thought okay, that will give me some time to sell my Tahoe and save a little more for the down payment and possible more GM incentives. I just put my Tahoe in the paper today and the Dealer calls me and tells me my Avalnche will be here by Monday 9/23.

I am very excited, but I still need to sell my Tahoe. I hope I sell it this weekend. I never thought it would take just 4 weeks till it got here. The Dealer was suppose to call me when they were to start building it.

Don't get me wrong I'm happy it's here again. I know there are a lot of ya'll out there that can hardly wait anymore for yours.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
 :)

Mine took only 5 weeks, which I think is pretty darn fast!

Welcome to the club!

You should not have problems dumping your Tahoe - I guess it depends on condition and your location. I got rid of my Tahoe for the AV.

So if your picking up your AV on Monday, you ready to rip the audio out the following weekend? >:D

Enjoy your new truck!

Now Carrerarod don't assume everyone needs to rip out and change the audio. He may want to throw his wheels and tires away and get new ones.

I plan too, but I think I will have to wait a little longer on those. I do plan on going ahead with the tires. I am leaning towards the BFG A/T 285/75/16. I ordered the 4x4 model but not the Z71, so I have the 16" rims.

Congratulations on you new Av! I'm sure you will love it as much as all of us do! If you're going to change the wheels and tires I would recommend upsizing to at least 17"rs. To me the 16's just look too small in those big wheel wells. Either way, I'm sure you'll love it!

Can't wait to see your pics. posted of the new arrival and its maiden criuse.

oh, make sure to take the whole day off as it is really hard to get out of the AV once you start driving it for the first time.
