;D Just drove my new Avalanche. What should I do first. I've checked everything. Any suggestions? This truck is so sweet. I love it.

This is like saying what candy I want from a candy store. ?Depends on what you want. ?Peformance? ?Looks? ?Convenience? ?There are many places to start. ?Go to the main page and click on the category you're interested it.

Also depends on your budget, if you have one. ?:) ?I didn't really answer your question huh?

I got some 303. I'm going to do my gaskets first. Then I'm getting out the accessorie book. What fun! >:D

There doesn't seem to be a limit to what you can do with them. Check out the readers rides section for photos of peoples babies!

My personal favorite is to get the Lift and 33" tires on it.
;D ;D ;D

of course gandolphxxxx's way with the Supercharger is always cool too (y)

Thanks for the info. Like you said, A kid in a candy store. (y)

The first "Must Do" MOD for new members is to install Amber DRL's (under $5). I did mine the next day after joining this site. Don't ask how many MODs ago that was ;D

Congrats, your going to love it - and now the mods begin - you do have a line of credit? ;D

I am a firm believer in putting the headers and supercharger on right @ 500 miles, finishes the breakin the right way >:D

Of course there is always the option of going the other way and dropping it ;D ;D ;D

Congrats on the new Av.

Before any Mods do this first: Place hand firmly on wallet. Pat it lovingly at its current weight and bulk. It is about to get lighter and thinner . . .

I've just started with my Av and its already trimmed down my back pocket a bit--and that was just for the detailing supplies. ;)

Enjoy!

G, did you install the headers yourself? If so, how long did it take? If not, how much did the install cost?

OFF ROADING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats what i did my friend.............now dont give me that "oh shes brand new". Man the Avy was built for the bush! lol just my opinion. Many Many options.

Peace

Make sure your insurance deductible is 0 on the comprehensive. It's a big target for jealous Sport Tracers ;D

I have The Other Guys headers - installed by MTI at the same time as Whipple - all one package so I cant really give you a number. The headers can be installed by any reasonably good speed shop - not that hard to do if you have the tools.

Here is some good advice on the tightening procedure - of course you need to double check the instructions from the mfgr you select. Header install torque question ;D

They are ready to go then, no welding after they are in place?

Steel, I think that they had to do a small amount to mate with the cats - I will crawl under next weekend and look when I get home to my beast.

I'm partial to the billet fuel door. It doesn't get any better for smiles to the mile enjoyment.

From what I've read here, I'd put on a hood bug deflector (even if you don't like the way they look) before driving too far. Your paint on the leading edge and your windshield will appreciate it.

Don't forget to read up on the double-stick tape that needs to be installed with this mod to prevent annoying wind noise. I won't post the link so you can practice searching the forums ;)

You just spent a ton of money, so my vote is that you turn your cup holder insert around so that your mug sits properly in the holder. No money spent, quality of life just improved.

You've already been warned about the impact mods will have on your wallet. Better add another line to your monthly budget.

I'll second the bug deflector. Then I swapped in the Denali Cluster - got rid of the most annoying blank spot on the dash and got a Tranny temp guage! Also pulled off the factory rack cross bars and added a Thule rack to carry all the toys. Good advice on all mods on this board - HAVE FUN!

I would go with the Bra (upper only). Easy to install, easy to remove, no wind noise, no tape, no mirrors vibrating, and cheep at $35.

I'm not too happy with my bug deflector. I'm thinking of taking it off, as it makes my mirrors shake at speed, made me do the two sided tape thing, and I've still got multiple rock chips on the hood and six repaired stars on the windshield. And it's hard to clean. And I'm thinking I like the looks of the front end without it better!

My vote is for the Billet Fuel Door, I luv the look......cup conversions is the cheapest and a must. BTW Chasman I was thinking of getting a bug deflector now I am unsure! Do u think the bug guard has helped prevent any rock chips? Maybe I will buy urs if u want to remove!
