My WeatherTech WeatherFlectors came today.

These things are great. ? They don't stick out too far like many I've seen. I even got a chance to try them out. A couple hours after I installed them it started to rain so I took them out for a spin. I am very pleased with the way they work.

It took longer to get them out of the box than it did to install them. It was so easy if kinda makes me wonder if I did something wrong.

Hey Doug,

Those look great! They ride in the window channel instead of being stuck on the paint....nice touch. I only see one problem: You have to get AJ's group shot from the Delaware meet an airbrush 'em in..............

Blue tks for the pictures, they look great. I have the stick on ones on my Van they work great but dont look as cool as the snap in ones. I now think this will be my next mod

oh doug! u stole my next mod.. j/k.. this is something i do wanna do down the road so i will be gawking at.. err.. checking out ur av at the gtg..

i do have few other things in the works right now that i'm trying to get done b4 the next gtg.. not sure if they'll all be done so i don't want to spill the beans just yet.. >:D

I too just installed the Weatherflectors Tuesday. Love the way they are not as dark as most others. The only drawback I see is the view in the passenger mirror.

I bought mine locally at a truck/offroad store. I purchased the WeatherTech bug guard direct from MacNeil and found their service to be top notch. I am very happy with both products.

Those are what I am thinking of doing, just need to get to them on the mod list. Those look nice. Don't care for the ones that stick on.

I just ordered a set of these.

Seems like a very nice mod to do and at a very
modest cost.

I ordered them from MacNiel for $79.95 + 9.00 shipping. They shipped them very quickly.

Weatherflectors

They really are nicer than any others I've seen and installation was a snap.

I agree with dvd though - they do interfere slightly with the passenger side view mirror but probably no more than any of the other brands would.

I also got the Weatherflectors from MacNiel.
I had them In three days from ordering and the
first thing I did after pulling them out of the box
was run them to my friends body shop and had
him paint them to match. They practically look
like their part of the truck.

I'm thinking of getting these, however, a local parts store said they fall out easily. Is this true? How tight do they fit and do the windows get jammed up trying to close?

No problems with my Weatherflectors either. Over the last 8 months and 10,000 miles they haven't even shifted. I have had them off-roading, and somewhat in excess of the speed limit >:D without so much as a hiccup. They fit snugly but once you run your windows up and down a couple of times to seat them there is no bind at all. I suspect the parts store you went to didn't carry these?

Hopefully I'll get around to picking up a digital camera but,
I'm pretty lazy. ;D When I get picks I'll post them.

How do they stay when driving with the windows down?
Bruno,

As Irontrain said they stay in without any problem.
The weather stripping holds the front ones in with
no problem, the rear ones have metal Tabs that go
under the weather stripping and into the "weatherflector"
when installed. Mine came with two sets of instructions,
one said to use the clips, the other didn't mention
them. I imagine you might have some problems with
the rear ones if you didn't use the tabs.

Magic! (and tension in the glass slots from the weather seal). You bend them slightly to get them in place. There are also some small metal clips.

So far I've had no problems with mine sticking in place. They don't cause the windows to jam. They fit between the window and the rubber weather strip (seal). The rubber gives way allowing the window to open and close pretty freely.

I have had the Weather Flectors on two Suburbans, two Saabs, a Volvo XC and now my Avalanche. Never have I had a problem with them coming loose, affecting the windows or anything else. When I got the one's for the wife's Volvo, one was scratched (a small 3 inch scratch). I called them and had a replacement in two days. If someone claims they fall out, they are BS'ing you and probably want to sell you something else.

I also bought their rock and bug deflector for the Suburban's and Avalanche, same high quality.

Well, I just gave mine the car wash test. They survived it with no problem. I figure if they can stand up to the beating they get there - they'll stand up to almost anything. :B:

Hey Blue Thunder....there is only one thing your doing wrong as far as I can tell.....you guys haven't chipped in and got me a set yet....and your in luck my b-day is just around the corner..... ;D :B:
