K and N FIPK Gen 1 vs. Gen 2

Hey Guys,

I have the one of the early K and N FIPK Kits and I hate it. I bought it back in early '02 when there was nothing else to choose from.

Now I see there is a Second Gen Product from them.

Does this new version get rid of the reverberation noise in the cab? When I tow my whole cab reverbs and it's deafening.

What are the differences?

Does K and N offer any exchange program?

I only want to hear my motor growl when I stomp on it. Not the whole time I'm towing my boat to baja for 12 hours.

Most if not all "open element" intakes will cause more noise in the cab than the OEM enclosed type systems like the Volant or even the Pro Cold.

Would you, that own intakes, say that the noise inside the cab in anoying or does it still leave a respectable ride when traveling as far as noise goes. Does anyone have anything bad to say about the K&N intakes or any others.
