Mark your calendar. Put a note on the refrigerator door. Carve it in stone. Tell your boss you absolutely, positively CAN NOT WORK that day. If you only make one event all year, THIS IS THE ONE!

Take a warm up lap, plus 3 full laps around the Texas Motor Speedway then pull into Victory Lane and get your picture taken. They will have a special staging area for car clubs. I'll reserve a spot for us. Ususally we are one of the first groups out..between 5pm and 5:30pm. Then cruise to a nearby eatery for dinner.

The cost has gone up slightly..$30 for the laps, $10 for Victory Lane Picture. It's available within 15 minutes after it's taken. All proceeds go to Speedway Childrens Charity.

Answer the poll to give me an idea what time to reserve.

Here's a link to their site with all the details.

Bring the spouse, bring the kids, shoot...bring your boss if that's what it takes. It is a family event. You will have fun and get to see a lot of really cool cars and trucks.

I selected the first time but it really doesn't matter that much to me.
Hopefully we can get another good turn out for this.

UPDATE

We have a reservation to go on the track at 6pm.   :B:

They have made some changes for this year. Instead of gathering in the parking lot go directly to the South Tunnel and into the track. Tell them you are with the Avalanche Club. They will have staging lanes assigned to each club. We are next to the Sky/Solstice club. Gates open to the tunnel at 4:15pm.

They would like to have a count by next Monday. (May 7th) Our reservation is for 15 spots, which is what we had last fall. I'm hoping we can do better. So, please post here if you're in or a maybe. Hopefully there will be a minimum amount of maybe's.

This could easily be the most fun you will have with your Avalanche. ? ?:D Be sure and bring your camera as photo-ops are plentiful.

Count me in  :drive:

It may be tight...as I will be driving in from Tapatio Springs that morning, but should get there on time.

Had too much fun last time to miss it.    :woohoo:

You're on the list. Must be a Golf Tournament that day.

Where you been hiding Bill? Haven't heard or seen you since the Sept. Laps.

Ahh, you know how it is - life gets crazy busy sometimes. Now I have just started a new job, so it will probably continue to be nuts! It will be good to see you guys for an AV outing!

For those coming out, you need to consider the Victory Lane pic.

Nice pic...I may have to spring for one this time around!

What time are you planning to meet up there? Somewhere around 4:30, 5:00?

Looking forward to it!

Gates open at 4:15. I'm planning on being there at that time. Once inside there are lots of things to do...tailgating, looking at other cars and trucks and just generally shooting the bull.

Of course...actually a two day outing - Thursday and Friday.  Driving back Saturday.

Actually may have to sign up twice...the wife is talking about driving  :damon: :badidea:

Sounds like a blast, maybe I can make the one in September. Niece graduating from college at 6 PM that day. Can't wait to see the pix.

Surely we can come up with more than 7 of us going.  :E:

Just a reminder we need to have a tentative count for TMS Monday morning. Please post here if you're in or a strong maybe.  :needhug:

I have to say...it is WAY Cool to drive your AV up on the banked track at 80 or 90 mph!! Where else are you going to have that opportunity??

C'mon AVers! Let's make a bigger showing!
