Welcome to the club!!!

I have moved your thread to the relevent section...

If you look in this 4x4 section you will find many threads about larger tires and lifts for the Avalanche...

Good Luck and HTH

Check into a 3" body lift. Factory ride will be retained (as close as you will get for a lift anyway) and you'll be able to slap in tires up to 33" in size. Also, it's fairly cheap ($500 - 800 installed) a full suspension lift will run upwards of $2000.

Good luck and let the good times roll!

I agree, if you want alittle bit higher stance and be able to fit 33's go body lift... seeing as how you do not serious off-road with your AV, the suspension lift would not give you any real gains outside of more articulation.

Also with the suspension lift you will need to slow down in the corners more then with the body lift....

Having the body lift for about a month now myself, I can say I am happy with it, considering that it cost me 675 installed, and I can still corner like stock.

I am waiting for my tires to wear down a bit more before I put on 33's, but you can check out my link in my sig for pics of my Av. Go to post lift pics Album to see what it would look like...

I am having a 6" suspension lift installed next week. I wanted to go with 35" tires and I off-road, so the body lift was out of the question for me. It all depends on what you want to spend, the suspension is a lot more. But, I chose it anyway. I am getting an RCD lift.

I have a 6in Fabtech suspension lift and now new tires and rims. I love driving "way up there" Check out the pics I just posted today and good luck with choice. Breedlove

Breedlove,

what brand of wheels and size do you have on your Avy? They look great. Are they chrome or just polished?

I have an 03 WBH Z71, I have 33s on right now and they do not rub at all. They are 285/70-17 BFG All Terrain TAs, they measure out to be about 32.7, close enough to 33 for me.
