Lights Under Mirrors

Does anybody Know How to change the lights under the mirrors and can the color be changed?

The light cover pry's out with a screwdriver or knife.

And it takes the dome light sized bulb....so yes you can change the color if you want.

at a local auto parts store I saw tubes that fit over the bulb to change the color. don't know how well they work. I changed mine to Red with replacement bulbs that fit a little loose in the socket but work fine.

All of the replacements I have seen (dome lights) are smaller than the puddle lights from the factory. Like vf454 said they will fit loose. You can use the tubes but I don't know how much light they will block. I know they weren't the effect I wanted to achieve for my cargo lights. Now, do you want them to be cool or functional you must decide

Those are fun lights to change, just did mine today. Actually...I think I might have uh...umm... overdid the red lights today. Oh well, it's something different.

Really makes a difference and sure is affordable!

Thought this would be a nice replacement. 2 of those small ( but really Bright LED's ).

Ironic, I think those could serve as effective heated mirror backups.

Sweet! I have some bulbs laying around that should slip right in there! I bought them for the interior of the Blazer, but never got around to putting them in ..... they're HID look alikes or something... some crazy blue color...

I changed every conceivable bulb on my Av., to Hyper-white bulbs; headlights (high/low),turn signals, reverse lights, licence plate bulbs, fog lamps, DRL's, interior doors, floor lamps, map lites, doom lites, cargo lamp and puddle lites. I dropped about $350 on all the bulbs but they gave my Av. a really nice "glow" and gave a few people whiplash when they "double-take" the truck ,at night. It's just a suggetstion for some of you ,who might want to make your truck standout from the rest.

welcome to the board AVonDubz, now have you moded the all headlights on, the DRL -> NRL and the fog lite override? Couldn't resist.

BTW, did you get the ashtray light, rumor has it that it is a bugger to get out.
