Locking Gas Cap

Well I finally got it in the mail, and it's installed...Hopefully no more attempts at stealing gas from my AV....If they want my gas, they can break my lock,and set off my alarm and run quickly >:D

Nice looking locking gas cap. I need one of those for my 2500. I ordered just the cap from GM and it made my engine light come on. Could you PM me the info about yours?

I found this site by doing a search Locking Fuel Door there's a couple more sites listed in the search, but this one was the best price for me

Are there a lot of cases in Texas where gas is siphoned?

I?m looking for a locking solution but not looking to replace the whole door. Does anyone know where to get just the locking cap for an ?04. The ?04?s are not the screw type fitting, they have tabs that clip onto the fuel neck.

I?m more concerned with someone adding something rather than siphoning gas.

I was told not to replace the gas caps on the 04's with a locking gas cap...it sets off your check engine light. I think it's because of the different style caps like you mentioned.

I really don't know, I did it to prevent gas theives and people putting crap in my gas tank

Thanks for the info. I had heard that caps changed on the ?04?s. I guess we will have to wait until GM or someone comes out with an ?04 version.
