Has anyone in the DFW area had their AV lowered (2/3 or 3/5)? I would like to get this done somewhere that is reputable and was hoping someone could tell me a good place to go.

???

Tricky3, there is a shop on the west side of Ft Worth that I use. It's called "The Pit Stop". It's run by the local Cadillac dealer. They have a lot of experience in lowering Tahoes, Subs, Escalades, etc. I have a contact there. If your interested send me a PM and I'll give you more info.

Tricky3 what part of Dallas are you in again?
El Dorado Chevrolet has a great pro shop and if they perform the work it may not void any warranty you may still have on your AV. I know they made that claim when performing a lift on an AV so why not lowering?

Are you happy with their work? What did you do a 2/3 or 3/5? How much did it cost?

I am in Frisco, but I work over in Irving...anything close to either one of them will be fine. I haven't heard of El Dorado. I used Casey Chevrolet. They have a Pro Shop as well, but I noticed that they really raise the prices on their stuff. It might be worth it if it is covered under warranty though. How much is it at El Dorado?

I'm sure you could find more than a few reputable shops south of the Trinity. ;D More lowriders down there than you can shake a stick at.

Actually, when I first saw a PT Cruiser, it was in Oak Cliff. I thought some shop down there had come up with it. You know what the PT stands for, right?

Puro Tejano. (y)

Make sure to let us know if you're coming to a DFW meet with your lowered AV. I've gotta check that out.

BTW, how far is Frisco from Irving?

I have no idea what it costs but I know if you mention that you are in the Avalanche club It could help you out. I can talk to a few folks up there for you and get a ballpark price.

MexicanMenace.... When are you going to grace us with your presence again? you always say your coming and dont show. We even went out of our way once to make sure you saw us on the way to Plano one Saturday and you wouldnt even forget business and join us ?>:D

Man it's no fun working a full-time job, running your own business on the side, buying a house (I have a house now! :D), getting in the gym at least three days a week and trying to have a life to boot.

When's the next meet? If I can figure out where Frisco is (and get the courage to call her) I might even bring a guest. ;)

Tricky3, I haven't lowered my AV yet, only talked to them about it. The cost was roughly $700 for the DJM 2/3 kit installed. The other work I had them do and the parts that I've bought off them have mad me quite happy with their service. I'm still thinking about just dropping the rear @2" to equalize the AV.

Yeah, I want to come to one of the meets real soon. I have been so busy lately. I just got into a new house too, so I understand what you are saying.

BTW, Frisco is about 30 miles northeast of Irving. It is just North of Plano where the Tollway ends.

I am just trying to find some place that I feel that I can depend on them to do a great job. I had the pro shop at my dealership do my paint job on my cladding and after 3 months I am already having to take it back up there.

Not a bad price :D. I have been hearing that price range from other owners in other areas on the forum, just nobody from DFW. I will see if I can find any other shops and get some quotes. If I get something good, I will let everyone know.
