I just got my B&G Sport Suspension lowering springs that is going to give me a 2.5 inch drop in the back. This will make the front and back even and give the truck a nice look. It is only going to cost $100 to instal and they do not have to touch the tortion bar since the front is already 2.5 inches lower than the back. I will have them installed this week and then post some pics.

Their design is based off of the Escalade but has been succesfully installed and tested on an EXT and it fit perfectly. I will let you all know how it works out for me. If anyone else is interested in getting the same springs I may be able to get us a group buy.

Just let me know

Let me know how it goes (handling etc) I've been looking to lower my back end = to my front where I will never tow anything with my AV...thanks ;)

Babar, please keep us updated.
I heard Bell Tech was supposed to come out with a set of rear lowering springs this month also.
Will have to run by friendly speed shop to see if they're out yet.

Let us know something Babar. Like IM us. In case we miss something.
I have talked to Belltech 3 different times and it is a case of in a couple of weeks, each time. Have not heard nothing more.
emailed DJM and they have them available and told me as long as i was just dropping it 2" in the rear i would not have to change shocks. Which makes it a little easier on the pocket book.
Do you know yet if these have to be strapped in to keep them from moving when you raise the vehicle to change tire or something?
Please keep us informed, as i have been checking with Bell tech since before christmas and back then it was a couple of weeks, and it is still a couple of weeks

Sounds like you've been talking to the same people I have. Hopefully it will be this month.

Hey Babar, the springs that you ordered, did they say anything about having to change shocks..........???
Bell tech and DJM said they did not think i would have to change if just going with a 2" lowering spring. I notice the ones you ordered are 2 1/2" lowering springs.
Still waiting anxiously on Picssss >:D

When I took it in to let the install guy look at it, he said he was not sure about needing to change the shocks. He said that on Wednesday when they actually get the springs on and the truck on the ground they can tell for sure. I thought to myself 'no $hit'. I asked another person what they thought and the said that it should not be necessary and they they may just be trying to sell me some new shocks.

I also asked B&G if they had to do anything to the EXT besides recalibrate it's self-leveling system (we have tortion bars so not to worry) and they said no.

I wanted to get them installed this past weekend, but they were totally booked until Wednesday :C: Two more days of waiting. Keep you fingers crossed, I dont; want to spend more than the $100 I was quoted to install the springs. To replace the Bilstein shocks wil be $70 each (I think) does that sound right?

Yeah, they will work. My Av is Z71 too.

Tomorrow is the big day. I hope I get some big money soon to me dem big shiney rims. Fo' rizzel. But seriously, I think that with some clean 23s the truck will look good. You can send your donations to any Washington Mutual and tell them that it is for the:

hey whats up babar well I was wondering how much did the springs cost you? nd whre did u order them from? hope to hear from you soon and good luck with your ride..

I got the springs from my cousin who is the president of Lesjofors North America (Makers of B&G Sport Suspension). ?He had not heard of them being installed on an Av yet, only on an EXT. ?As a result, I just wanted to be a good cousin, and offered to be the ginnie pig (how is that spelled anyway). ?Meanwhile I knew well that they would fit. ?He hasn't brought up the subject of payment so I will assume I was just an R&D cost. ?

I am going to pick it up in the next hour from the shop. ?After I post the pics later today you guys can tell me if you would want a group buy. ?If there is support, I will have a group buy page set up for everyone with the cost.

Damn... everyday Ive come on to check out how barbars ride came out hes got us all Patiently waiting... LOL ell hope to see the pics soon man...

Sorry it took so long. I didn't even get to wash it yet, but I wanted to get the pic up for you all to see.

How do I post more than one pic?

Here is another view from the front. What do you guys think? They didn't have to touch anything, $100 to install and thats it!. What do you guys think? Want me to get us a group buy? I can get it directly from the source, so we will be sure to et the best price if there is enough interest from you guys.

Count me in ;)

This looks like what i have been waiting for.
Stylin concepts told me last night they had the 2" drop springs (same part number as surburban) at 129.00 and he told me i had to have a hardware kit to relocate the sway bar in the back. I am leaning towards He did not know what the heck he was talking about.
The spring shop here in town told me they would install them for 50 bucks if i found a set. They could have a set custom built, (they had a set made for a Escalade for about 250.00 with same OEM specs).
I think i will wait and see what kind of deal Babar works up.........
Thanks Babar. That is the stance i am looking for..

The timing could not be better! (y) I have just started looking at the various lowering kits and this one looks great. Count me in.

Truck is loooking SWEEET.... LOL it looks great man how does it ride now? you feel any difference driving?
thanks B 03 AV

Thats what I want to know, how does it ride! A few years back I lowered my 1 ton crew cab .. using Bell Tech parts and I was not totally happy with the results.
Let me know what the price is???

It rides great. ?Since they are a sport suspension system, it is slightly stiffer in the back, but I think it still feels great. ?I have gotten a lot of compliments and am very happy with them. ?I especially like the ability to take corners and still be hugging the road instead of hearing the tires chirp. ?I had a couple of lady friends rieing with me this weekend and they said it was still very comfortable.

I am still working on a price. ?I asked my cousin and he said he can definitely do a group buy for us. ?I will try to have a price for us this week (I will push or today).
