Magnaflow....All Bark not Bite??????

FWIW I recall Muffman (muffler expert who doesn't come around much as of late) that a Magnaflow does increase performance more than a Flowmaster does, (on the low end as I recall). Personally I've never put on a muffler wih increased HP or MPG in mind. It's all about the sound.

It increases flow and may add a few horsepower but an extra few horsepower is not very noticable in a 6000#
truck, the sound is the biggest plus.

I just got a magnaflow on my truck, I saw a 1.5+ MPG increase even running 80mph for 4 hours...I love mine, very happy with it.

true dat Daytona...plus at 295 stock hp an extra 4-7(being generous here) ponies is not very noticable

I ended up with a new Magnaflow yester I noticed an immediate increase in throttle response and I also watched the DIC fuel average climb.

Oh ya and the biggest pleasure of all is when anyone is actually under my AV they get to see that purdy highly polished stainless muffler, it actully makes me want to just get on my creeper and spend all day looking at it (lol) :bling:

I've had 2 av's and on both of them I've gone with Magnaflow. Never been disapointed with the performance.

I love the Magnaflow on mine. I had a Gibson before and there was quite a big difference between the 2.

with the magnaflow which size is recomended i read 21/4 pipes on both sides also do you need a cross tee so theres just enough back pressure and no low end torque loss
