Does anyone know how much it will cost for larger discs,I pull a jet ski trailer(approx 2500 lbs)and the brakes suck on the av HELP! :E:

Sorry I just read some of the threads below(guess I should have read first)well if there is anything else to report I would appreciate it:)

check with tbyrne motorsports .... don't quote me but I think when I was looking to upgrade (couldn't because I had stock 17's) it was around 1k per axle to upgrade to bigger rotors calipers and pads .... I tell you one thing if I had to do it all over again I would NOT get SSBC ... I upgraded to the slotted rotors and pads and I think mine suck .... in fact I like the Raybestos rotors and pads I put on my Pontiac better than the SSBC ....

I did the SSBC with the tri piston caliper front/rear
truck stops better than stock. My $0.02

Those fit under 17 inch wheels? I still have not figured out what brakes I am doing.  :D

cadboy1 : you have seen my ride! I am running 16's tight on Weight balancing (stick ons)
but I ran it for 2ish years with stick ons
I have the wheels Badged now (on my 2nd set of intercos)

Also Last summer just For Sh!#'s and Giggles made sure the 16" stock rim w/35" fit the brakes and lift. (y)

Yeah..I forgot you got the 16s. I have the Silverado SS 20 inch wheels on now but not sure if I want to give up having winter wheels. I have 2 sets of stock 17". So I am probably going to do a modest upgrade.  :D

If it's just a problem whenyour towing you could just add brakes to the trailer for just over $400.00.

Yea I thought about the trailer brakes, but its kinda annoying to feel that "spongy feeling"when you apply the brakes.Hey intimidator, was that approx 1k per axle counting them putting them on?I have more money than patience, unfortunately, lol

I'd have to agree (2c) that really is the more reasonable mod.  Have you checked the inner surfaces of your rear rotors lately?  I was shocked that mine were completely shot.  If you're dunking your rear end in the saltwater at the boat ramp, I'd do a full break inspection more often..if I were you.  Again, just my 2c.
