Mirror Drop In Reverse - Too Much?

My '03 Av has the mirror tilt feature when you place the transmission in reverse (I have psg side mirror tilt down, so I can see the curb).

Just today, however, the mirror started tilting TOO far down...to the point that it's useless.

The "normal" mirror angle hasn't changed and I've played w/the mirror controls, as well. ?I just realized that maybe I should try to "reboot" it by turning the feature on-and-off via the DIC. ?Will try this tomorrow.

Anybody else have this problem/any solutions?

Thanks,

Frank

With the feature turned on, adjust the mirror while in reverse. It will then remember that position the next time you enter reverse. If it doesn't, then take it to the dealer.

Thx - I'll try that tomorrow morning.

Now, my wife used the truck yesterday and I found the radio presets were all changed...wonder if she didn't mess w/the mirrors, too?

Sounds like mystery solved to me... ;D

Sure sounds like it to me! ;)

Frank, you and your wife have to agree on who is driver 1 and driver 2, and always abide by that. Then you can each have your own settings and not interfere with each other.

Remember, there are two ways to select the driver: by unlocking the door with a particular key fob, or by pressing the 1/2 memory button. Make sure you are doing it the same way each time. You may have to swap key fobs with her if they are reversed (ie: you are using memory button 1, but you have fob 2.)

Read up in the manual about setting driver 1/2 preferences using the buttons and the key fobs.

Hope this helps...

This is a great feature! I was showing it to my wife today. We each have our own musical tastes and this will come in handy.

Another thing to remember is that settings are saved when you lock the car with the keyfob. The first day, my wife's (driver 1) settings were transfered to me (driver 2) because she forgot to lock the car with the keyfob. I then went to unlock the car, and mistakingly pressed "lock" on my keyfob, saving all her settings under my "profile". Well, that's what we figured happened, anyway.

We don't do that anymore. :)
