I am trying to organize a monthly informal, low key Eat N Greet in the Indianapolis area. It would just be an event to grab some grub and look at our vehicles. It would likely occur on one Saturday a month at lunch time. Any preference; first , second, third, fourth??
I think that the Castleton area might make the best location for those coming from the central Indiana area. Access to the area is good with I-69 and 1-465 both coming together near 82nd street on the northeast side. There is a wide variety of eating establishments in the area and activities for afterwards.
Two potential locations I have scoped out are the Hooters on 82nd Street and the Sonic Drive-In on Bash Street just south of 82nd Street. The Hooters is usually pretty busy on lunch on Saturday. Hooters seems to be a traditional location for Avy GTG's but some may have objections.
I am not sure about how buzy the Sonic normally is. It is just far enough off 82nd Street that I don't see it when I drive by. The Sonic has curb service and dine in service. Curb service is nice to show off the Avy's but not pleasant if the weather is hot or muggy. (it is Indiana). Plenty of non-curb side parking is available.
What do you think, Indiana members
??
I take a few days to gather opinions then set up something specific
