Left Minneapolis/St. Paul this morning around 5:30am CDT. I am taking my 13yr old son to see his first NASCAR race, the Brickyard 400. On our way, I passed a victory red Z71 (got a wave back), going in the opposite direction we saw: 1 sage green, 1 white, 2 pewter, 2 indigo blue, 2 onyx black and 2 black EXTs. Obviously, when they are going the other way on the highway, you can't make out the designation. Still, not a bad showing.

** Almost forgot. I also saw 2 new Silverado's (black, blue). Very easy to spot with the new front fascia.

6 has been the most seen in a day of routine travel on the 101.
Usually don't see more than one, often none.

Colorado Springs is filling up with them. For the locals, I was stopped at the intersection of Austin Bluffs and Union two nights ago during rush hour and counted five w/in two or three minutes.

i saw alot comin back home from the twin cities too and at Harold Cherolet in the Cities i saw them new silverados they look pretty cool also the chevy express vans are gonna look like that too here is a pic:

Nice tow/haul button, at least that's what I am assuming that button is! GM is going to have one sharp looking line of trucks. I have seen a couple more 03 Silverado's lately. That is one nice looking pickup.

I understand what you are talking about - the other day I was driving toward Denevr and in a 4 mile stretch I saw 4 AV's on the highway.

How was the race? I had to give away tickets for this years race. I had already went to the Indy 500 this year.

On my trip to Ft Worth from SA I saw a total of 9 on the way up, at least four in town and then another 8 on the way back. The way up was on I-35 and the way back was on US 281.

I waved a lot but couldn't tell if anyone waved back. No amber DRL's to be seen on any that I saw.

There are certainly a lot more than when I bought mine in October 01.

I just got back from N. Georgia. On the round trip from Orlando I counted 29 Avs and one EXT on the road. No amber DRL's, however. My wife got really annoyed everytime I said "Oooh Oooh there's number ____" ;D

The most memorable one was probably the shiny, black Z66 with chromed 20's (at least) that I saw both on the way up AND on the way back on 400 just north of Atlanta. I also saw a white Z71 near Gainesville, FL that had rounded cladding trim over the wheel wells (almost matched factory, not quite) that looked good. I felt like a kid playing count the cows!

P.S. - I'll never catch up from not reading posts for 10 days!

Rich - I understand your pain :)

I will be driving downt he road with the GF and see an AV or stop and talk to an AV owner - at 1st she thought is was kind of cute - Now I hear don't spend too much time talking about trucks - we got things to do - and sometimes I just see the eyes roll :)

I wonder if any of the lady AV owners are driving their men nuts :) (with AV talk) ;D

You all will consider this impressive. On our 4200 mile round trip from Denver to Erie, PA then on to Cooperstown, we saw 103 AVs ! That was amazing. Last March, when we went to Arizona for Spring Training, we saw 33. Probably about 28 of them were in Arizona and that was only about 2 1/2 days. You all might not think so (because there aren't many members from Colorado), but there are a TON of AVs here too.

With that trip I can only assume your are a BILLS fan?

Where was that pic taken? That is sooooo cool! :B:

That was taken in Marble Falls, Texas during our cruise last month.

Click on this one for my favorite hi-res photo from the cruise. I use this one as my desktop wallpaper ;D
