Well not quite, but you'll love this story.
So I walk out this morning to go get into my Av which sits in the driveway. Today is the first REAL day of spring the Pacific Northwest has seen since 3/21. It's clear, it's warm, and hardly a breath of wind. All I could think about was dropping the midgate, taking off the panels (to get the sand out via wind), opening the sunroof, and dropping the windows.
No Avalanche in the driveway.
Gone.
I suddenly feel sick as I read last night that Seattle/Tacoma/Everett is number nine in the nation for car thefts.
I open the garage door.
There, sitting in the garage is my wife's Thunderbird.
You see my wife gets up about 1-1/2 hours before me to go to work. But what was a more telling story was what was also sitting in the garage.
The car seat out of the Avalanche.
The contents of the bed.
Also what was telling was what was missing from the garage.
The hard cargo cover panel holder.
I noticed that the dome light had been left on in the Thunderbird. When I looked in to turn it off there inside was my ID badge for work, my cellphone, and my sunglasses out of the Avalanche.
Yep - she done the old bait and switch.
Seems as though she eyed the weather forecast too and decided after our beach trip that a quasi-topless Av would be far more fun to drive today than a covered Thunderbird.
At least her car has a better stereo!
