My Steering Wheel Sqeaks

I just started hearing this in the last two weeks. Temps have started dipping into the low 30's and thats when it happens. I only hear it when making tight turns such as into and out of a parking space. It is not loud but is noticable even with the stereo on. I sounds like it's coming from where the steering wheel connects to the column. It sounds similar but quieter than the sound that tennis shoes make on a gym floor.
I have also started hearing a vibrating noise inside the instument cluster that "rattles", for lack of a better word , more when the engine revs. I think it might have something to do with the tachometer.

Redlion,
you are describing exactly what my truck was doing when I bought it last december in maryland. While cold the noise was comming from right behind the wheel and my dealer serviced the truck and told me that the steering column was misaligned. If you like I could dig out the service ticket and let you know exactly his wording and documented remedy.

I also have had this ticking, almost like a clicking from the middle of the cluster. I cannot figure out what it is and there are threads here on that. It happenes every now and again and drives me nuts.
