Would they be the two guys from the Avalanche commercial. You know, the one where they're driving along and the driver say:"We'd better change before we meet the girls". They pull over, the driver gets out and puts the AV back to its normal configuration, while his passenger is on the other side trying to change his close.

RIGHT~ They both hold the patent on the midgate. HERE is the link to the patent. I found this while searching for something else for the Avalanche. Click on "IMAGES" and you will see just what they were discribing! There is some good reading there!
