1. Realizing in the middle of a crowded restaurant waiting area that when you hit the lock on/off on the remote, the backup lights come on.

You can take it from there... >:D

Zam is pure evil. LOLOL. He did this multiple times at an Outback Friday night. There were several people who sat and waited for the Av to back up. LOL. >:D

Genius or Evil...you decide ;)

i say genius for giving us the option to use it for purpose's other than it's intended. evil for us to actually use for purpose's other than intended. >:D

I used to work near a museum. Well the busses that would drop off the little kids to visit there, would usually block the first lane of traffic on the other side of my AV. Well all the rug-rats would file between the front of my AV and the back of another parked car. I would take breaks, standing at a second floor window above my AV.......lol.... and just wait for some poor kid, that met any sort of distracted look to them, and hit the panic button. My AV would start blaring and the closest teacher would pick the same kid I did 8/10 times...........lol

Yes I know I'm going to hell when I die.......

I read the title, thought all the wrong things 'cause I misread the title :)

Now, on topic.
People go tearing through the parking lot where I work.
Near the end of the day, it's dark enough that the reverse lights pop on at the same time the brake lights pop on, except the reverse lights stay on ( we all know that ).

Occasionally, when a car is going by, just before it gets near the AV, I hit the unlock button.
Driver slams on brake, swerves, and gets all pissed and glare at the AV. They get even more pissed when they realize no one is in it. >:D

*** note *** I only do it when there is one car around, and there are few cars in the parking lot, to many "young adults" come into the area to visit various shrinks that have offices and I won't do it when they are outside either.

LOL! Thats funny .... I need to try that one >:D

I have never noticed the reverse lights coming on.

I will have to try this.... I hate waiting for a table...this will at least keep me occupied. >:D

I don't think tha white rbackup lights light up. only the brake lights and the hazards.... oh and the puddle lights.

still pretty funny.

I used to drive around in my S-10 yakking on the radio while I cruised parking lots. `Lots of alarms would go off - especially Cliffords >:D
`I guess they couldn't handle 150W + of 440MHz nearby...

04s can be programmed for "perimeter" lighting. Perimeter lighting turns on the DRLs, Mirror puddle lights, and the white back-up indicators when the unlock button is depressed. I use the additional light provided by the back-ups all the time, often re-hitting the unlock button till I done doing whatever.

'03's do the same.

That is too funny. We have a favorite restaurant we go to twice a month. There are about 10 restaurants surrounding the parking lot, so there are alot of lot surfers looking for a spot. I don't know why, but I always get lucky and park right in front of the door. I can't wait to try this great fun!! I don't care if I go to hell for this, seems like a misdemeanor to me. Maybe I'll do short time.
>:D

And there's the fun you can have at Costco when you have a good parking spot..

Roll your cart up to the Av and someone wait's for you to load up & leave. :p

Well, load up and get in, then make like you forgot something and head back into the store! >:D

Baaaad....

Is yours an '02? The reverse lights don't come on when unlocking like the '03's and '04's.

I knew I should have waited a year to get my Av! :E:

Then again - I can have lots of fun like this with my 04 Pontiac Grand Prix. :0:

I think it's how you config it; my `03 does. But only when dark enough.
Maybe just throw a magazine or dark rag over the sensor...

hmmm... almost as much fun as when I found out pushing the buttons on my
Suburban's keyfob sets off the alarms in Fords.

>:D

I like to go in to the city (NYC) Park at a good Eatery watch people look inside my av. Then Remote start it!!!!! >:D They jump back 20 feet.....LOL

The horn is loud, very loud. Even louder when pulled up to the front of a convienent store and it echos off the wall. I wait till people get in front of me then I honk the horn. I have had 2 drop there stuff. When they look at me I pretend to be waiving at someone coming out of the store. Pretty entertaining. Yes I am going to hell. >:D Looks like I wont be alone. ;D

So true, we are all going there for one reason or another. Might as well be for doing something with the AV, I say.

It is correct that there has to be a "Low Light" situation for the "Back-Ups" to fire off. Otherwise one only gets the "Tail Lights" lighting up.

I have parked next to a few different cars in parking lots, that when I unlock the AV it sets off their Alarms, re-locks their doors, or flashes their lights. Funny thing about the radio frequency spectrum, those harmonics will get you every time. Pity the poor person who just happens to be in his car when one of our key fobs sets off his "Panic Alarm". (Hehehehehehe!)

I have not done this in my AV yet but it is possible. I used to drive a Chevy Custom Van. The CB had a PA system integrated into it. I had a speaker under the hood. I use to sit in the back of the Van out of sight. When people would come near the Van, I would talk to them as if I was the Van's computer. I would ask them if I had a fluid leak below the Van, as my sensors were reporting a leak. Or I would pretend to be the Alarm System asking them to step back away from the car as a "Violent Shock" would be heading their way otherwise. I would ask that they call GM and tell them that the VAN needed to be serviced. You name it I would sit there and try it while I was sitting there waiting for my Ex while she was on a marathon shopping excursion.

If anyone ever accuses me of this I know not what you speak of!

Just Smile and Keep looking around for the Camera.

FROM THE NIAGRA FALLS. REGIONAL MEET

About 20+ of us decided to have dinner at the top of the Skylon... Figured it would also be a good photo-op from the tower>>>
Talked to the hotel Mgr to get permission to place the Av's

Now the rest is right of a sitcom [Seinfeld, got nothin on us}
As we headed up the outer elevator for the trip up, with camera's ready, the ele operator/tourguide said>
" now if you all look out to the right, you can see the Falls"
We all at the same time said "whatever" as we all had our camera's pointed out the other side at the trucks
Comical, but here is the funny part

As we just finished our$40 {US} steaks>> and with the Av's coming in view
Someone decided if they could start the truck from the resturant out the window [help me out Ontarioans 500+feet]
Well low and behold it worked>>> it didn't take long before we were all standing at the window with our remotes in our hands, frantically pushing the buttons
[and again you have to remember the resturant was packed and the Falls was on the other side of the tower]
and here is the funnier part
As we headed out onto the observation deck, after taking quick looks around, we ended up back on the side of the AV's>>>
The only trucks that would not flash were the factory FOB's>> until JJsnowking realized, if he held the FOB up to his chin, and stuck his face into the mesh security fence, they would work / this may have something to do with SCREECH-IN?/ [again remember there are people all over the place watching us with great confusion]

We found that as people walked on the path next to the Av's, we could freak them out by having all the trucks flash and beep at them
Now here is the hilarious part

All of a sudden, another LPM or SB AV pulls up and parks next to us in line>> he gets out of the truck and walks in front of all the trucks>>>> well you know we couldn't resist>> so on we played as he looked around to see if we were hiding in the bushes [Sorry Bonesaw next round's on me]

So as you can see, it was a good nite and even a better weekend>>>>

Unlike LasVegas, "what happens here"," is now international"

Hey Cape, don't forget the pictures!

Base of the tower:

Falls_Tower_shot.jpg

The Skylon Tower overlooks the falls, and the hotel property where we stayed. The top level is the observation deck (if I remember correctly) and the lower level is the revolving dining room. The elevators travel on the outside of the tower.

Looking down from the tower:
