Does anyone know of a local shop that will do this. Have talked to a couple and said Hell No! I have a WBH, so it is just the stuff above the bed. You know? And do you think it would be cheaper to sand my cladding down or buy EXT piece?. Sure would like the caddy brake light up top.

Let me just say, Holy Crap! That is so cool. I love it. Riddle me this, Batman. My WBH is white. Would you paint the little cladding she has white? I know YOU might say so, judging by the pic of your ride. Which is awesome, by the way. Or....Would you shoot it black as an interesting contrast. I am pulling towards black. That way, the truck would look stock until you get up and see the subtle change. What you think?

In my Honest opinion, I would go white. Black would not be a subtle change to go to from a white truck to everything black at the rear

See DAVE you are now famous heheheh

Well I wish all those that expressed interest would go ahead and let me do it. I need the moola.

But, the contrasting color doesn't have to be black/gray. Dare to be different. I found a really sharp Burgundy Fusions I'm thinking of using on mine. Just not completely sure yet about that with the LPM. :cautious: I do like the look of Black with LPM.

Heck you like OU...paint it RED!! and have the school letters painted onto the top of the bed panels....

Be creative....

I'm in SC, so this isn't much help as far as location, but I am getting ready to paint the cladding on a 2003 Avalanche. I had originally painted the front fenders after the owner hit a deer.

I actually paint Custom H-D's and hi-end cars like new Corvettes and most recently, a Diablo that had been keyed by the owners x-wife. I just joined here and pick up my first Avalanche on Saturday. I am trying to upload my pics so people can see my work. I'd like nothing better than to help out some fellow owners

Looking at the cladding, it doesn't look difficult to paint, and with todays paints, theres no reason these claddings can't look like they were painted from the factory. I have seen some that weren't painted too good, but from the looks of things it looked like they were rush jobs.

Thats exactly why I painted mine, I saw two that were done by a local Customizing shop and the cladding looked like $h--. I have been painting classic and antique cars for show for many years and after sitting down with the local automotive paint supplier we figured out the best way and products to use. I am somewhat of a perfectionist. It took me three weeks to do mine initially and Ryan's truck was about the same. I have two more to do over the next month.

I think I am gonna put an old 454 out of a previous ride up on eBay. Maybe I get enought money that way.
