NEED HELP FOR FRIEND AND WARANTY BLOCK

Hey guys, Need your help again, my friend that wants an AV like mine found one, but it came up as a warranty block from GM. What does this mean?
It is out of warrany any way. but when I had them run the vin it came up as a warranty block.
What does that mean?

From what I've read on other boards (mainly the Vette forums) A warranty block occures when a vehicle is brought in for "warranty" work and it is determined that the vehicle is/was being used beyond the mfg's specifications.? IE, Running it on the track hard and burning thru your calipers ect.? Some say it cant be blocked and others say it can. Some have fought in small claims and won but depending on the repair/cost they are still out of pocket.

Once they decide the vehicle is being "abused" they block all warranty work


If your (your friend) is looking to purchase this vehicle, I'd say PASS and find another.
