Need Spacer Between Folded Rears & Midgate

Is anyone making a drop-in spacer that fills the gnarly & sharp edged void between the rears (when folded forward & the midgate)? Having a completely flat surface there would be great for dogs and keeping stuff from falling in there....my small wife might even be able to nap there while I drive if laid an air matress there.

I haven't seen anything like that but I do like the idea for transporting my chihuahuas. I don't like their nails on my leather.
