I work between the GM Tech Center & the Lordstown small car plant. We saw some pics a while ago of what the next small car will look like, and it was similar to that. I'm pretty sure though, that they are not keeping the Cavalier/Sunfire name.

I really like that SSR. Not a daily driver though. Hopefully, one day I'll have enough money to have multiple $35,000+ vehicles. But right now my Av, and a soon-to-come Harley are all I can afford.

I think the future cavalier looks nice compared to the one we have right now. Pretty nice. (y)

But, I think the new malibu looks, well, radical. Kind of too different. My dad had a '98 Malibu before he switched to the CR-V. I like the flowing, smooth look of the Malibu. Looks like that's gonna change though. :cautious:

The grand-prix looks pretty good. Outside, not too different from the one that we already have. But inside...

Myself, I don't like the SSR that much. All show and no work.

But the Av...the best of ALL worlds. ;D  :B:

As long as they have something to produce back in Ohio, my hometown (Youngstown) will survive. Without GM Small Car Division in Lordstown... Goodbye Y-Town :6:

Wow...that's a lot different than the pics of the Cav I've seen up to now...as a matter of fact if I had to guess what that was without anyone telling me I would have never guessed Cavalier.....hmmmm.. :B:

Saw the pic of the new Cavalier, thought of a Honda Civic immediately....it's definitely gonna change, and not for the better, glad I got out of mine :2:

The Grand Prix looks cool though, and that SSR, WHAT is up with that? :cautious:

That new Cav looks like they hired a design team from Cadilac...

The SSR... V8 with rear wheel drive... may not be the fastest or most utilitarian thing around, but it seem pretty cool to me :)

I enjoy those "throwback" models.....it brings a whole new dynamic to the auto industry, not to mention the nostalgia.... :B:

I own a 2000 Cavalier Z24 :). I thought it was a bad decision when GM stopped making the Z24 model . I also don't like the new tail lights on the 2003 . That 2005 looks like some totally different vehicle :D:. Kinda reminds me of the Aztek. They shouldn't call it a Cavalier anymore :7:. I don't like the way it looks :8:.
But, I originally thought the Avalanche was an ugly truck. Now I like it. And I have one on order! :) :D ;D

I guess sometimes it just takes a while to get used to new things. :)

I would have liked GM to have done something drastic with the Cavalier....they are really tying to throw their hat in on the sport compact scene....and with Dodge putting out the Neon SRT-4...Chevy better come back with something as attractive to the segment of buyer if they want to have a chance.... :B:

I wish I could fit in cars like that. I'm 6'4 and I have very wide shoulders so I have a tuff time fitting in little cars. I wish I could though I have been told little cars are really fun to drive cause they can go almost any where.

Hey, I'm 6'4" and I squished into a cav z24's for like 3 years.
It wasn't all that bad - I did a lot of driving with my knees... :0:
Yes, they are fun peppy cars.

I understand that but I like room I don't like to cram myself in a car. I need shoulder room and knee room other wise it is not fun to drive unless you are comfortable.
