New Virginia Contact List (started Feb 2013)

I see several Avalanches running around the Roanoke area.  I find it hard to believe that there are this many owners that just think of the Avalanche as another vehicle.  Even so, why not join a club to help you with any woes you may have with it?  Off the top of my head without bursting anything, I can think of at least 6 other Avalanches in/around town.  There's one guy in Blacksburg, but he doesn't spend any time on the forum.

My guess would be that the "novelty" or whatever you want to call it has worn off some on the AV and only a few diehards like us log on to the website frequently. Since production has stopped I hope the AV keeps a cult following but will probably be a small group like a Corvair group not a Corvette one though.....
I tried to stir up interest and involvement in the site and GTGs several years ago in my area but found that not many people logged on as members from my tagging them and most of those who came to GTGs were soon transferred (military) or sold their AVs and bought other vehicles that they got excited over. I imagine that is true on almost every type of vehicle though. The majority of people now consider a vehicle just a means of transportation. (maybe the vehicles are just too much alike with no personality?)
I have to admit I drove Suburbans for 16 years before my first AV and I never joined a Suburban Owner's website. ( I don't think there was an Internet before that for my other vehicles.)
I would love to see Virginia members become more active with tagging and GTGs but those days may have gone......

come the new year I plan on tagging, lots of AVs out in the NoVA/DC area. :)

Just with the ex and new job and all that going on, haven't had a lot of time to do anything

Welcome to the site and soon to Virginia  sheriff000

Welcome breadguy!
I'm in the Norfolk area....

I have a 2003 Avalanche 5.3 1500 Z71 truck with misfiring problems. The code is P0306. I have replaced the plugs, wires , replaced #6 injector , swap the #6 and #4 coil packs around. After doing all this, the same code still comes up. I had a Chevy dealer check the push rods and valves-everything was OK. What else can I do? Bonkey

Bonkey you may want to ask the question in the problem: engine area.

But sometimes the engine develops a intake manifold leak that could cause that.

I'm still here in Centreville

Just letting you all know I'm still alive!

We should do a meetup before it gets too cold

Sorry I haven't been here in a while to update the list. I wasn't receiving update notifications. Hopefully I got that fixed now.
