Well since I just got my new light bar.

www.fire-net.com/av

Thanks to BLACKZ71.

I needed some off road lights. I decided on rally brand.

They look good and do not brake your piggy bank.

What are all you off roaders doing for lights?

p.s. Sorry goo neon does not count.

Sweet rig. (y) I have always wanted a light bar shining above the cab but decided to stay conservative. Stupid money.

Thanks for you comments on my light bar.

I have an 8 foot garage door so its no problem. My av has only been in the garage twice. I like to keep it outside, even in the winter. Its a truck and I do not baby it. Just my personal taste.

MrBill - like your switch install (and fuse block) - great way to use up cubby-hole space! (I went with the GM cassette to fill that area, so I am left with the Onstar pod for aux switches).

As for your inquiry, I run Hella's up front, 100 w bulbs in each. Your lights look sweet though.

Question for you and those who use aux lights for forward lighting from that location - where does the lighting first hit the ground? I have a suspicion that there would be a 20 foot area in shadow, so is there an issue with nearby ground lighting being achievable from that location?

Time to bring this back to the table. Has anyone else put a light bar on there AV? After I get my lift kit installed I plan on doing this but am wanting to see other before I do it. I thought about going with the roof rack with lights but think all I need is just the bar. If anyone knows of a web link please post it. Thanks!

I don't know now I'm not sure which I want. I'm not sure if I want the roof rack wit lights or the light bar. Now I'm going to have to do a lot of thinking

MR BILL

Lights look excellent! Did you drill into the roof to add the bar? Im thinking about the traditional KC lights but have put almost no thought into it.

That is my favorite color on a truck...MUD! I have not got to take mine out yet Im waiting on the new to wear off. This summer look out.

dday

i have a yakima load warrier cargo basket, and 4 PIAA 580 searies 165Watt Xtreem white pencil beam off road lights ontop of my av. i fabed a bracket system to mount the lights infrount of the basket insted of ontop.

?PIAA makes the best lighting systems, and they have a lifetime warrenty.
the basket clamps right onto the factory roof rack, and i have it wired so i can take it on an off easly.
the basket also makes a great place to mount a full size spair tire for us lifted AV's :)

have lots of pix of it at the link below
