Oil Fill Tube

I changed my oil for the first time last night and saw something somewhat disturbing. The oil fill tube seemed to be loose where it goes into the head cover. I wriggled it just a bit, and the blue o-ring slid out the top. With the help of a dull screwdriver and some patience, I was able to get it pushed back down and the fill tube down again.

Has anyone else experienced this? I could not determine what holds the filler tube in the head cover. The top seems the loosest, with the bottom not moving much. This just does not seem to be the best engineering decision.
 
Mine are loose in the rocker box cover too. There is no leak from around the tube, so I didn't think it was anything to worry about. However, I don't like it being loose.
 
I'll consider myself blessed because mine seems to be on nice and tight ;D
