I have season tickets to OU if anyone wants to do in OKC area, I live in Muskogee.
 
I live in OKC/Moore area & would like to get together, but I'm in Colorado for the next month or so for work. :6: Maybe I can make the next one. :)
 
Sounds great to me.....I'll be at lots OU games though on Saturday's now.....season ticket holder. :B: Chase is yours a wbh arrival? I saw one on Tuesday while picking my kids up from school and it was sweeet.....I pulled up next to and waved ;D, going west on Chandler.

Well anyways my father lives in Newcastle, and I will be moving back to OK in Sept. Around the 26th. I will be up in Enid so I will be up for a GTG sometime after that. Maybe we can shoot for a October GTG that way we all have plenty of time to plan. We can talk to the older members and see how to go about getting goodies for GTGs and go from there. Hopefully the Texans and Arkies will make it out to. Anyways, just ideas let me know.

Sooners2win do you know a good place where I would be able to get me two tickets to the OU/OSU game, for a good price. Thanks.
 
Yes, go to OUinsier.com and check the ticketexchange forum.....be patient and you will get your tickets....you might also try TulsaSportsweb.com they have a ticketexhange as well. I will also keep my ears open for you and get in touch with you here if I can locate you a couple.

All the Okies interested in a GTG in October please post at least a weeks time frame that wouild be good for them. I would be able to attend anytime after the 15th of Oct. So Anytime between 16th and before Halloween. I can't give a specific date yet cause I have not made it to the new base yet to find out a work schedule and would hate to have to work during a GTG.

I will look at the schedule tomorrow at work.... but think I can make it to whatever you all choose....

Some okies are planning to do a GTG in October. Time frame still pending on exact date/time. Looking to start up a chapter in Oklahoma and could use some help from the older members on ideas (what to dos/what not to dos) you get the picture. Also consider this an invitation for any out of staters who might be interested. Even if your not interested but found things you felt was worthwhile at a GTG then please post and help out a younger member of the club. Thanks for any help. Also hope to see some of you there. :B:

I know a lot of the other clubs have made Hooters as a good meeting place for the first few GTG's. Not a Club sponsor, just a good place for wings and beer.
For the first Good GTG try looking in the Oklahoma travel guides for points of interest. Check with Chamber of Commerce offices in cities around the state, Day trips are fun. Heck just cruising around with other AV's is a blast. Think about the " World Famous" BBQ places, The largest Chicken Fried Steak places, stuff like that.

For who ever decides to be a Chapter coordinator, dont approach it as being a job. Just make it fun. It really doesnt require that much work for the first few GTG's, you will become more confident as the events go by. Brainstorm during the GTG's you have, thats where a lot of our ideas come from. A lot more ideas and suggestions come from the actuall face to face events that thru these message boards.
 
Okie_Ron mentioned that it looks like we go thru a lot to organize these events, but actually most of us are doing multi-tasking here and we all have become such good friends within the state and chapters that we plan around everyone elses schedules until we can attain the best date(s) for everyone.
I hope that all of you guys can gain new friendships past the boards and site. Friends are a wonderful thing. I have made many a new friend the past year and a half.
Let me know where I can help and I promise to be more available when you need help up there.
I know we have tossed around a combined Oklahoma and Texas member GTG which could be a lot of fun for a camping weekend. Just a thought. Good Luck guys. I will be around.

A OK/TX GTG is also a good idea. Being that it is getting late in the year, it would be best to try and plan for next year. But that can be discussed later. I do know that Theo was mentioning about a rafting trip next summer, if thats of any interest to yall. Anyways Thanks again.

Sounds good to me I'll let you know for sure I want to try to make it the best time for the most that will be available. Would you be interested in being a chairman for a region when broken up into regions? Theres 77 counties in OK I'm hoping we can break it into under 10 chairmen. So, we will all have to discuss this at the GTG, pick a decal etc. Have any good ideas?
