First I would like to thank all the members.   I have only posted a few times but have found this sight to be so much help.   From I have done the following mods:  Always on ambers, Ipod in the center console, and 12 volt plug in the bed (working on it now).   The list is small but the to do list is huge thanks you all.   I wanted to share what I added to my hitch.   It's not a modification but the wife and I have had more conversations with people about it. I've even been stop by an officer wanting information!

This is a mobile grill made be Freedom grills.   www. freedomgrill. com

It locks into your hitch and just swings out when you need to use it.   I spin it around and use my tailgate as a work surface, makes tailgating a breeze.   I can't believe how many people have stopped to talk to me over this.

We did 10 Pizza's the other day for my daughters State cup game, and hot dogs at the office.  Can't wait to get with the other club members in Alaska for BBQ.

This thing is great. ?You never have to take it off the truck and from Stopping the truck to flamming a dog is less than a minute.

Not only should I get the dumper but I could get the hitch addapter that gives me two receivers.  Then I could have the dumper and the BBQ on at the same time!  I could have a seat, roast a dog, have a beer and all thats needed is a portable DVD and a remote, What more could I ask for!

(y) adds a new meaning to tailgate party (y)

I have a bar- b- q attached to my hitch too... and it has a toilet, fueling station and hauls my quads too  >:D

When you have the grill pulled out and set up, does it heat up the rear bumper? I would worry about it melting the plastic... Very interested in the grill though.

At first I was a bit worried about heat on the bumper also.? I have used it several times and their is nothing to worry about.? It does get a few degrees warmer than the rest of the bumper and I mean only a few degrees.? Works great and the wife loves it.? I love that that I don't have to mess with putting a bunch of greasy crap in the back of the truck and clean up is a snap.? I have a plastic tub the size of the grilling surface and about 3 inches deep.? I put the greasy grill in some water with baking soda and by the time I get back to the house the baked on stuff just falls off and the grill is as clean as the day I bought it.? The grill uses a 1 pound can but I ran a 10 foot hose into the truck with an 11 pound can in the bed.? Works just as fast and last much longer and cheaper.?

Let me know if you want any more information.?

I got mine from crutchfield.com and if you are quick I think they are still offering "free" shipping.? They sent mine to Anchorage Alaska 2nd day UPS.? I paid $300.00 dollars to the door!.

Decided to make a color adjustment!  The Avalanche letters are on the way.  Nothing like a truck with a matching grill.

Man, I was just going to do this mod myself when I found your thread.  Wasn't going to buy the freedom (although it does look nice - see their new FG100!  ).  Instead, I was going to make my own.  I've bought the truck bed extender from Harbor Freight, and I'm just waiting for Home Depot to start clearing out their BBQs for end of season:
