One More Question Tonight - Mpg Vs 4WD

Hi - one more question, on the AV, has anyone gotten a feel for any difference in gas mileage between full time 4WD and 2WD and if so how much? The owners manual states there is a mpg penalty for 4WD. I have the 8.1 L, 4x4, and 4.10.

My unscientific guess would be .5 - 1 mpg depending on the road conditions that you were in. The AutoTrac engages the front drivetrain to accept slippage information and transfer the power when needed - it is great for wet weather, hence used, which then is acting like true 4wd on demand - that will lower your mpg. It sure beats having the back end of that big truck take off on you on a corner.
