Outside Temperature Sensor

Problem: Where is the OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE SENSOR located?? My rear view mirror mostly registers 0 degrees - except when the AV gets wet, when the temp readout is inaccurate.? I'm sure the sensor is either defective or there is a short in with the wiring.? I could trace if I knew where to look.? Any ideas?

Sensor is mounted in the front grill near the radiator.

WOW! THANKS!? I was hoping for just an idea of where to look and your response was EXACTLY what I needed...where it is located, the schematic, wiring diagram, test point voltages, color codes etc.? Thank you SOOO much.
