Well, I've searched high and low on this site, but most of the stuff I found was like three years old about this type of install.  I'm wanting to see some pics of "How to" install this type of DVD/monitor on the ceiling of my AV.  I have a sunroof, my AV is a 2004.  If anyone's put in a overhead flip down DVD with a sunroof, could use your help and advice on how to install this to the ceiling.

Thanks.

I know they have been done..  Can think of a few including Dune before the moonroof went in, I think maybe Grnxnam, and maybe even tomyys Av..  Will see what I can find
What about headrest monitors instead..  Much easier

There was some post with rather extensive info and photos covering this, quite some time ago. Keep searching!

My real reason for the overhead is not so much for the monitor, but for the DVD player itself.  I already have some headrests monitors, and they work great.  But my reason for doing the overhead is this way I have a second DVD player that's up and out of the way.  I have a DVD player up front, but want to have a second DVD player in the rear so the kids can each watch something different if need be, or my wife up front can watch something else.  She gets tired of watching the same Disney flics over and over, as the kids never get tired of that stuff.

I've searched for hours, but haven't found any with pics of an installation.  I did the headrest monitors myself from info I found on this forum.  After days of trying to find pics on this type of install, I thought I'd reach out to the forum group.  I'm not good on instruction that's written, but if I see the actual photos, it makes more sense to me.

Yes, Sperry, you're right, there was a post.  I ran into it a long time ago.  When I went to the post, non of the pictures could be viewed.  I don't know if it's because the post is old, or if it's a server type issue -- or if it's my computer.  But for some reason, when a post is like older than three or four years, I can't view the pics or the links.

I'll keep searching, thanks for your time, folks.  :B:

looks great mike.  be prepared for lots of questions.  Lots of folks say it can't be done with a sunroof... then you go and put a 12" monitor up there.
