Having some trouble finding a clear answer as to where to buy a spray can for an 07 SBOM, to paint my bowties.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the link.

Just wondering if anyone have purchased a bowtie from Les, with a SBOM.  It seems to me the color Sunset Orange Metallic that he can do is the same a Suburst Orange?  Anyone have any experience or guidence here?

Thanks.

I sanded mine with fine grade.

Black gloss paint,

Clear coat,

Al that from a local hardware store,

And a decal from here:

Les will paint you one for about $79. Don't know about the colors.

Hey CodeBlue, who is Les and how do I talk to him? I have an 07 and would like a Dark Blue Mettallic front bowtie. I'm wondering what he would charge? I've been thinking about doing it but quite frankly I don't really want to "experiment" on my truck

TC, what did you do as far as prepping it? Did you peel the foil off? It looks gorgeous

Thanks Kmeleon,
Followed Chrome AV's post,
Unbolted front bowtie from behind grill and removed.  Had to paint rear bowtie in place could not get it to pop off..... Masked chrome on the bowtie off and covered the back of the AV to protect from overspray.
Sanded with 2000 grit sand paper
primed
duplicolor gloss black paint (6-coats) may need to sand in between some coats!
sanded
duplicolor clear coat (2-coats)
sanded
Clear coat
They look even better in person
Did not have to remove foil on back of bowtie  sense it was not popped off of Av.

This is probably the coolest and easiest mod to do to the AVY and you can purchase other bowties and change them to make it different when ever you want.
