i have a friend with a Firebird Formula. he has a LS1 engine. he uses lsedit to view his stats. about a week ago we tried to hook it up to my AV, we could view just about everything there is to see, but we couldn't change anything. i think it works like Hypertec does, you can only program the unit to 1 VIN.
one more thing, he could also check and reset any codes.
LS1Edit is very sophistocated software that will read the current stats on your pcm and will allow you to change just about anything you want; hypertech and predator only give a small taste of what edit can do. It costs $550 from carputing and you can have upto 5 vehicles enterd in your personalized software and cable so you could get a few guys together and split it. If you just want to log the performance of your engine and maybe reset a dtc code (service engine soon) light but not edit the parameters then Autotap is what you would need.
