I wanted to start this topic so I could post pics of my AV's journey through the shop, I just talked to the guys at the shop, they're doing the painting today and it should be ready TOMORROW!!!!!

First post and just wanted to thank you for this sight. Just picked my AV up last week. Just 52miles woo hoo. This replaced my 94 chev Z71 (will try and dig up a pick this one too) Picked up a 02 white no mods yet but did talk the salesman out of the windshield lettering. :) I have been looking first to add some of the perf Mods but after looking at the pics here the list, the mod list is getting long. Hope for a good X-mas. LOL Well hope to keep posting and photos to follow as work is completed.

I don't think I've introduced ya'll to the Waters' curse yet....it hits my family's cars and it's hit AGAIN!! :8:

I've had a delay in getting my AV, they've found a minor piece that needs to be added and it's getting an alignment so I should (and I said that pessimistically) be ready tomorrow (thursday) afternoon. :cry:

I have come to the conclusion that I hate, and when I say hate, I mean it, body shops....but what can I do, right about now everyone should doubt that I even have an AV, hehe. But I will gladly send you my car payment in that case >:D

But anyways....as my stomach turns so do the hands of time.....

Congratulations.........YOUR GONNA LOVE IT!!! Now for some serrious advice. There are certain things you need to avoid like the plague. There is a bug floating around Avalanche owners called "MOD BUG". Please!!!! Don't get bitten by this BUG. It will do serriously crazy things to your life. This bug causes your heart to race when you see a Brown Package Car. Your bank account slowly gets smaller and smaller. Your significant other tends to dissown you.....its nasty. >:D >:D >:D >:D

STAY AWAY FROM THE MOD BUG....

Is that even poossible? No-one is immune. Even me. I've got no vehicle whatsoever and I'm already trying to mod my AGENDA between classes. I've added a Chevy bookmark, attahced a pen so I'll always have one ready, and am going to change the cover so that It'll have an Av on the cover. Ooh boy. :rolleyes:

Hmmmmm, maybe I should back track and mention that I started this post because my AV has been in the body shop (and I needed somewhere to post the pics) because a STUPID person decided to rear end me........

........I got it in July, but it's been in the shop, not on order ;D

I guess waiting for it in the body shop is as bad as waiting for an ordered one. I know the feeling. Hope yours is as good as new.

Had to take my AV BACK to the shop today, luckily it was in and out in a matter of hours.......

When I mashed the brake my AV lurched left and the steering wheel turned right, I'm thinking, this is not supposed to happen....turns out on the control arm the whole 2 bolts that hold it together, well one was never put back on and the other was slowly loosening, NOT a good thing.

The shop guys apologized profusely and my AV is back in perfect condition!

I'm always happy to see a fixed boo boo. I hope your OK. I missed the post on the wreck. mine got hit like that on drivers side. My back was messed up for months. Just turn wrong and bam Percoset momma to the rescue.
Sometimes in the bodyshop biz, we like a rig so much we won't give them back. You can wait weeks. Well not really >:D
